Finding out that Nate and Harry already have some beef was unexpected. I had a feeling that harry was trying to get back at Nate and I didn't like it one bit. I hated the idea of being used like that.

"that's perfect" Angela exclaims she gets up from her seat nearly falling over in the process. I send her a strange glance "what are you talking about"

She rolls her eyes at me "what I'm saying is that this is your opportunity " I look at her strangely wondering if she even knows what she's on about.

My opportunity, she can't be serious right now. I glance at the others around me hopefully, they will help me to try and talk Angela out of this. surely, I'm not the only one who thinks she's gone crazy.

Yep just as expected, nothing.

"surely Nate will detest the idea of you speaking to his enemy all you have to do is help him promote his club and you will catch the attention of Nate finally" she claps her hands together like it's the most brilliant plan.

I look towards George hopefully, he will share his insight of this weird plan. "if you were to go ahead with it, you would be entering some dangerous waters. It's not just some little rivalry between two club owners it's more than that they despise each other" George walks up to me holding my hands in his with care.

"pish posh it's the perfect plan " Angela dismisses the beautiful moment

Looks like I'm going to have to enter those waters because I'm not about to let Nate make a fool of me.

Seems like Angela saw the devious look in my eyes because she shares a knowing look with me before clapping wildly.

Tammy walks towards me with Harry's business card in her hands "call him" she motions towards my phone sitting on the clear glass table.

I dial his number waiting for the call to connect

"hello," Harry's voice says from the other end.

"harry its Loretta, I'd be honoured to partner up with your club ... when do I start" the line stays silent for a moment before his voice comes in all cheerful.

"that's great news Loretta can you and your friends come tonight, oh I don't know if I said this before but all your friends can come to my club for free" I thank him quickly ending the call.

"so, what did he say when do you start" Angela speaks out. I notice that George has left the room and Tammy has a fallen look on her face.

"we start tonight, " I tell her. Why do I feel like this isn't a good idea after all.

Nate pov

I needed to get straight to business since being released from the hospital I have been on the phone non-stop. I have one project I need to take care of, I've been putting it off for weeks now since I created it for Loretta I really didn't want to handle it.

"what are we going to do those kids are waiting on us sir," my assistant says, she stands there looking up at me after reading out the email she received. I honestly don't know, I must proceed it's not just for Loretta it's something I strongly believe in and the kids have been so excited.

I don't want to even imagine the look on little Tommy's face if I didn't go on with it.

"did they say the construction is completely finished" I ask her I know the building has been under construction for quite a while mostly because I haven't been around for any further plans to be put in place.

"sir its ready has been for about two weeks would you like me to call Mr Davis and arrange a meeting?" she asks me.

Mr Davis is an interior designer he's helped to design most of my buildings I would say he is the best, we've worked together for nearly 5 years now.

"okay give him a call tell him I'll be driving over to the office we can talk there" she quickly scribbles some words down in her little book she carries around with her before walking away into her office which is across the hall from mine.

I've been emerged deeply into work over the last few weeks thanks to my new found free time. I didn't realise until recently how much time I have when I'm not with her. she was my main focus which I never complained about, ever.

After our argument, I felt like utter s**t. I took every ounce of my being to not run to her and tell her it was all lies, that I didn't mean anything I just said to her. but I couldn't, not with the heavy weight on my shoulders graciously put there from my own brother and his devious b***h of a sidekick.

I knew before Christmas eve about the damage that had been done but me being the man I am I thought that it was talk they couldn't have done what they said and I was convinced that I could just ignore the situation and be with Loretta.

whilst I was waiting for Loretta to return from her celebration with her family I received a call that made me want to punch every object in my sight. I couldn't believe that my own brother would betray me like that.

Flashback

"Nathaniel, you would be stupid to go against us like that, after everything we told you you're still with that b***h " the sound of his voice didn't bother me at all however the way he called her a b***h made me want to kill something. how dare he call her a b***h without knowing her.

"you better shut your mouth now or" I begin to say back to him but no surprise he didn't even bother listening to the rest.

"now now Nate this isn't the time for your threats we warned you didn't we. your brother has been more than willing to tell us about your plans and if I'm being honest I'm surprised that you thought you could get away it." he laughs after saying this.

my mind goes haywire, what could he say that would make him so furious and practically out for my blood.

Drew what the f**k have you done. I never thought it would get this far I really didn't. Harry has been a highly demanding man ever since he was born we went to college together but he was never, shall we say friendly.

"you will come to Rome on the second week of January and settle this like gentlemen I would be very careful with your precious diamond because if we find out you've played us like your brother has generously declared to us then she will be finding herself is some bother, you have my word on that one" his voice turns from being calm to furious and very serious as he mentions Loretta.

"now I don't believe for a second that you would go out your way to portray me but if your brother is correct and so help you god, you will not be happy with the consequences. UNDERSTAND " his voice raises a significant amount.

my hands tighten around my phone in anger and frustration. Drew is such an i***t I could kill him myself.

"I get it Harry trust me I'm not unfamiliar with you and your people, I will be there but I swear to god if you or your men lay a single hand on her I will not hold back on my actions" did he think I feared him, seems like he's forgotten the past.

a smirk appears on my face when I hear a sound that sounds like a gulp. I end the call before he manages to say anything else.

Ending things with Loretta was a must I couldn't risk her getting hurt because of my family, she's been through enough I would die for her just so she wouldn't go through the pain I knew Harry could do to her and her family.

I had to be wise with the way I handled it, Loretta would know that something was going on if I just ended things so I said the words that would hurt her and I knew deep down she would think differently of me and hate me for it.

the interview that was broadcasted was for Harry especially, he needed to know that I had ended things with Loretta. I was aware that I may have broken Loretta she would hate me but it was the right thing to do.

George knows nothing at the moment he knows of harry and our past but I will not get him involved with this mess especially since he is getting married very soon.

I pick up the phone and dial Maria's number "Get me a flight for Rome to fly out on Monday " I didn't give her a chance to say anything else as I slam the phone down and stroll out of my office to meet Mr Davis.

I was sitting in the back of the car whilst my driver takes me to the office when my phone rings in my suit pocket. I remove it and glance at the caller. I pause for the moment wondering why George is calling me.

"yes," I say bluntly, yes you could say I'm still a little sore at the fact that he would tell me I couldn't come to his wedding, he spoke to me last night and said he changed his mind but I'm still mad.

"Nate I'm sending you an article, just think about it okay I also spoke to your assistant she told me you're going to Rome. is there something you're not telling me" he questions leaving the question open for my reply.

"wait a minute," I say clicking on the attachment to his email. as I wait for it to load I tell him" Drew's been in touch with Harry been spreading lies and now" the words that were spilling t of my mouth suddenly stop when the article finally loads and I read the words printed on the page.

"f*****g hell Loretta ", I shout momentarily scaring my driver to the point that he slams the breaks on.

"keep going I'm fine," I say reassuring him that there's nothing wrong but I reality it's the complete opposite.

"George meet me in my office this afternoon," I say quickly before ending the call. I run my fingers through my hair roughly. I can't f*****g believe this the scheming little prick I'm going to kill him.
