💌 Episode 11: The Warning Letter The next morning, the air felt heavier. Like the house itself knew something was coming. I barely slept after what Darius told me. The name Sebastian Blackwell echoed through my dreams like a whisper I couldn’t outrun. I got up early, hoping for silence. Instead, I found a letter. Not emailed. Not texted. Slipped under my bedroom door. No name. No return address. Just my name, written in red ink. > Amara. He’s not the only one hiding. Trust no one. You’re being watched. My fingers tightened around the paper. Who sent it? What did they mean by “not the only one hiding”? And who else was watching me? --- I ran to Darius’s office, clutching the letter. He wasn’t there. I asked the staff. No one had seen him since last night. Had he run again? Or was he the one who left the note? --- I sat at the grand piano in the music room, trying to calm my nerves. The keys felt cold under my fingers. Like everything around me was losing warmth. --- Later that day, Nathan — Darius’s driver and assistant — found me on the balcony. > “He’s out of town. Emergency meeting. He’ll be back tomorrow.” > “Do you know who sent this?” I asked, handing him the letter. Nathan’s face went pale. > “Where did you get this?” > “It was in my room.” He cursed under his breath. > “You need to stay inside. Lock your doors. Don’t talk to anyone you don’t know. Understand?” His reaction made my chest tighten. > “What aren’t you telling me?” I whispered. > “There are people who don’t want Darius’s past to stay buried,” he said quietly. “And now that you’re close to him... they’ll come for you too.” --- I spent the night pacing my room, lights on, phone in hand, waiting for Darius to call. He didn’t. Not a single text. Nothing. --- At 2:04 a.m., I heard a tap on my window. My heart dropped. Slowly, I walked over and pulled the curtain back. And froze. There was no one there. But on the glass, written in what looked like fog or maybe a finger dragged across condensation, were five chilling words: > “YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE MARRIED HIM.” --- 💭 End of Episode 11 ---
