MY HEART BEATS WITH LOVE

1639 Words
They sat on the wooden bench atop the bridge, their hands intertwined as if trying to cling to the happy moments before they faded, as if the world around them had paused in reverence for the birth of this love. The sounds of the city gradually faded into a distant murmur, while the sea beneath the bridge reflected the starlight, each wave shimmering like a silver shard whispering the secrets of beginnings. Adel gazed into Naomi's eyes, those eyes that held a rare blend of strength and tenderness, and spoke in a warm, quiet voice. Adel:I never expected to find someone who understands me as you do, someone who makes my heart beat with love like this. Naomi's face flushed with a warm, almost feigned shyness, as if she were still a virgin, untouched by anyone, as if her heart glowed with a faint light behind her features. She answered in a soft voice Naomi:And I've never known true comfort before. I feel like I don't need to hide anything, as if I can finally breathe. Adel leaned slowly towards her, his quiet approach revealing more respect than desire, as he gently stroked the strands of her hair, caressed by the sea breeze. Naomi trembled slightly and said, Naomi:I feel a light flutter in my heart, as if your love is knocking at its door; I feel as if you are opening a new door to life for me, one that no one has ever knocked on before. Adel placed his hand on Naomi's shoulder and spoke in a sincere tone, far removed from Naomi's familiar but deceitful one, saying, Adel:I want to stay here like this, with you. Nothing in this world is more important to me than your happiness. Naomi's smile trembled, half longing, half fear of the past; and she said, Naomi:And I want that too. He drew closer until she felt his warmth envelop and soothe her. He whispered near her ear, Adel:I will be the safety you've longed for for years. I will protect you, and I will love you. All Adel knew about Naomi was that she had left behind a selfish, narcissistic father, much like his new wife, and a mother buried beneath the earth, as well as an unfulfilled past love. But she hadn't revealed her great lie to him. She had told him she had never been married, that he had never slept with a man, and she had hidden the child growing inside her. Their meeting at the club by the sea was a romantic encounter in another world, where Naomi feigned innocence. Adel drew closer to Naomi, their lips meeting as if discovering a new path in the journey of love. A tender first kiss was followed by a longer, more intimate one. Naomi sat in Adel's arms, as if she had found the place where her body and heart truly belonged. Adel held her tightly, like a lover who knows he has found his destiny, and she felt his heartbeats in harmony with hers, as if they were created to complement each other. Despite Naomi's lies to Adel, it was clear she loved him. Adel succeeded in making Naomi feel loved, cherished, safe, and secure emotions that captivated her heart as they could any woman's. They remained on the bridge, exchanging tender whispers and long, evocative glances. That night, with its stars, wind, and sea scent, memories were born in their minds—firsts for Adel, and memories that erased those Naomi wished to forget, leaving them far away in a city she could never return to. As night fell, they rose, their hands still intertwined in a silent promise to remain side by side, faithful and loving forever. They walked down the green hall of the club, heading out. They left the club and went to Adel's car, the small vehicle he drove as a taxi driver in the city. He opened the door for Naomi with the charming, polite, and witty manner of a young man. He smiled, and Naomi smiled back. Naomi got into the car. Adel went to the other door, opened the car door, and sat behind the wheel. He started the engine and reached for the steering wheel. Naomi reached out and took hold of the wheel, smiling. Adel looked at her, leaned in, and gave her a quick kiss. The car moved through the enchanting city streets at night, its lights reflecting off the car windows. She got into the car, and their faces seemed to caress each other, as if painting them with the colors of joy and the upcoming wedding. When they arrived at the house, Nellie was waiting, her face a mixture of worry and longing. Naomi pressed the doorbell, and Nellie quickly opened the door. Adel and Naomi entered, and Nellie closed the door. Naomi spoke with a smile as bright as raindrops. Naomi:Nellie, we have wonderful news for you. Adel smiled with warm confidence. Adel:We've decided to get married soon. Nelly froze for a moment, astonished by the speed with which Adel and Naomi had made their decision. Then she breathed a sigh of relief, smiled, and drew close to Naomi, embracing her warmly. Nelly:I'm so happy for you both. You deserve this love. In that moment, Naomi felt as if a heavy burden had been lifted from her chest, and the future that had frightened her became clearer and warmer. Nelly looked at them as a woman who had suffered much pain and knew the value of finding true love. That evening marked the beginning of a new chapter for them all, a chapter that held within it the promise of peace and security, and the building of a home like no other, a home of light and love, reflecting the dreams of those who had suffered greatly and finally survived. This was Adel and Naomi's dream. And the next day The city awoke to a new dawn, carrying within it a mysterious tranquility and a subtle sense of anticipation, as if awaiting the wedding of Adel and Naomi. Its golden rays filtered through the narrow alleyways, cascading down walls and pavements, bestowing upon every corner a touch of gentle warmth, as if the sun itself wished to bless the beginning of a new day and a new dream for Adel and Naomi. Naomi emerged from her room, wearing a simple dress that radiated quiet elegance. Her hair was carefully styled, and her eyes shone with a mixture of excitement and anticipation, as if her heart spoke in a voice that only she could hear. Nelly appeared beside her, wearing a pink dress that bestowed upon her a captivating feminine light, granting her an aura of tenderness and dreamy beauty, like a small flower blossoming with the city's first light. Adel was waiting for them at the entrance of the house, wearing an elegant suit, his smile radiating warmth like the sun's rays filtering between the buildings. Upon seeing them, he felt as if time had stopped, as if the whole world was breathing in perfect harmony with two hearts beating with a love just born. He gently extended his hand, and Naomi took it. They walked towards the car; they got in together, and the car set off on a road bathed in sunlight and the glow of new hopes, Adel behind the wheel and Naomi sitting in the passenger seat. Nellie sat on the back sofa. When they arrived at the bridal shop, Naomi's heart leapt with joy as she chose the magnificent white wedding dress, while Nellie smiled a tender smile, a delicate blend of sadness and hope, as if her heart shared in this magical moment unfolding before her friend. Naomi leaned towards Nellie, gently placed her hand on her shoulder, and whispered, Naomi : Nellie, I want to tell you something. Adel and I agreed that you'd stay with us after the wedding. I'll never leave you. You know that. Nelly froze for a moment, her face a mixture of surprise and astonishment, as if time itself had stood still. Then, a wave of overwhelming joy washed over her, embracing Naomi as if she were embracing a new life, a ray of hope illuminating her path and holding a great secret. Adel approached, a smile playing on his lips, a smile that held unspoken promises. He said, Adel : Nelly, I want you to know that you are now part of our lives. You will never be alone. We will live life together, with all its joys and sorrows, its security and its responsibilities. Nelly nodded, a deep smile spreading across her face. For the first time in many years, she felt her heart finally at peace, and the future she had feared now lay wide open before her, seemingly safe, even though she still harbored a great secret from Adel, a secret for which she still had no answer. They bought the dresses and left the store. The three of them got into the car, and it drove back home. At Nelly and Naomi's house The three sat together, sharing stories and laughter; every passing moment planted a new seed of hope in their hearts, a feeling that tomorrow would bring them everything they hadn't dared to dream of, and that love was capable of healing every old wound. Here, in this new home, life began to take its true and natural form, free from betrayals and treachery from loved ones a life filled with love, security, and dreams waiting to unfold quietly in the light of morning and evening, as if the entire universe had conspired to grant them the chance at a life they had long dreamed of, and to open a new chapter in their life story, a chapter written in the colors of hope.
