Sunlight pierced between the leaves of the canopy of the forest. Mushy sounds popped as feet stepped into the squishy forest floor. The air was humid in the summer heat after a not so recent downpour. Sweat trickled down the necks of the Hunters.
“Are we there yet~?” Cecilia asked in a tired manner.
“Just a little bit more.” Matthew answered.
“That's what you said last time. And the time before that.” She kept on whining.
“That’s because it hasn’t even been five minutes between each time. We’re almost there, trust me. I already remember the route.” Matthew kept dredging forwards. Meanwhile Cecilia looked like she was about to stumble over her own foot.
As tired as she was, Cecilia pushed herself to keep up with Matthew. ‘Maybe I should do more exercises,’ she thought.
