Chapter 12

Gwen

I was so much better after resting well in the bed for almost one week and it did made me bore so much but I had find the way through which I could not be bore and that was talking with Tsetan and doing some reading and now when I am again at my foot so I am thinking to paint something on this canvas and I took out the paints and started to draw my imagination. It has been long since I did. I was busy in completing my studies but in the midway I was dropout because everyone thought that I am not capable to be in that university when I am curse and will only bring omen. Everyone believed that thing but one teacher was there who had the faith in me no in those words and she used to say that everything will go away and I will be shower with the happiness soon and I am holding over here words till now.

Though I was treated badly in my university but I used to go because of her because she always used to motivate me rather than making me feel so much low and I am grateful to god that he had someone like her and I am planning to meet her in coming days but she lives near my house and whenever I go over there I look at my home and also feel as if I should take a look as I visit over there sometimes only. Every time whenever I am near my house I feel as if it is calling me. I didn't realise that I haven't yet started to do my painting and right now I am out of all the ideas and I am feeling as if I am out of many things and I sat down on my study table and I took my head in both of my arms.

"I am useless." I said to myself and then my eyes went over the pendent which was in zip lock bag. I took it in my hands and suddenly remembered that nightmare. Has this pendent do with my dream? Who could be the person to whom this pendent belong to. I don't really know even if this is somehow related to me. My phone suddenly ringed up and I looked at the ID and it was with unknown number. I cut the call. I don't want to talk to someone right now. I opened my drawer and took out the magnifying glass and I checked the pendant once more to find a clue and found a letter J which was printed so much small on the end of the pendent and I hope that I could find in which jewelry store it was made so that I could find it. But will they even have the record of something like this which is so much old. Suddenly my room opened and I looked back and found my uncle come inside. For a moment I was scared. 

"Did I scared you?"

"A bit." I said and he chuckled and put something in my closet and I put my attention once again to that pendent. "What are you doing Gwen?" I heard his voice which was followed by his footsteps and I heard his footsteps that stopped near me only.

"Nothing, I have found this pendent in Leandro's room when I was searching for something." I showed him.

"May I took it?" He asked and I nodded and he took it and smiled.

"This was a very famous design in 1990s and every lady dreamt about this and this was costly as well but when new trend came it disappear and now rarely people buys this kind of design." He said dreamingly I guess he had remembered his days and I smiled. "You know what Gwen your father has also bought a pendant for your mother but that was misplaced after few months only." That had shocked me and he turned over the pendent and looked at the bottom where I have found a clue and his eyes widen. "How could this be possible?"

"What happened uncle?" He looked at me and shook his head.

"Well do you know why Leandro was having this pendant?" He asked.

"Uncle this wasn't in his closet or somewhere safe but it was behind the drawer and I am pretty sure that this belongs to the person who had killed Leandro." His eyes widen.

"Leandro was killed?"

"Yeah, Tsetan had told me that he had investigated about this and found that in his food there was poison and I had also found this piece of clothes." I showed him and he took it.

"Are you guys sure that Leandro's death is not natural?" He asked.

"No uncle it isn't a natural death. There was someone in his room that day and....." I trailed off when I saw that my door was opening slowly and there was someone was who was trying to hear our conversation.

"Hold on a moment uncle." I said and stood up and went towards the door and opened the door but there was no one and I was about to come back when I felt a scent which was feminine. I don't think that I have ever smell this perfume. I come inside and sat back on my study table.

"What happened?" Uncle asked me.

"I guess there was someone who was trying to hear our conversation but before I could see her she went away."

"How do you know if it is a she?"

"Because I have smelt a feminine scent and Tsetan and neither you have that scent and aunt also don't and Ave doesn't have this scent." He nodded

"Gwen." I heard my aunt calling out for me and I went down and was met by the same fragrance but it was faint and I reached down and found Aria sitting on the sofa and that time I smell that fragrance and it was strong as well.

"Aria did you buy a new perfume?" I asked her and she looked at me with glee.

"Yes I have. How do you know that?'

"Because of the smell as it is not your usual one."

"I have yesterday only brought it." I nodded

"When did you arrive?'

"A minute ago." She can't be up to my room when she has just arrived but if she wasn't there than who must be there and was hearing our talks. 

"You make yourself comfortable. I will go now." I said.

"Gwen I have come to meet you only." 

"Why have you come to meet me?

"I just wanted to meet you and I also want to apologize to you. I had come to meet you after that day also but Tsetan told me that you are not doing well and need time to heal so I went away and today I found that you are doing well so I came over here to ask you forgiveness." I was looking at her without blinking.

"It's okay Aria." She smiled.

"Gwen what are you doing downstairs?" I heard Ave voice and I looked at her and she was all ready.

"Are you going somewhere?" She looked at me and smiled and put her palm against my cheek.

"Yeah I have to meet up with my friend and your feet is also not healed properly. You should go and rest." 

"I am perfectly fine." 

"Okay if you say so. Now I should leave now."  She said and I nodded and smelt her fragrance which was so much fresh and this only happens when she takes a bath. But she never takes the bath in the afternoon. Maybe she wants to look fresh that is why she had took the bath. I should not be thinking about this so much when it will mean nothing in the end.
