Lexi was still trying to decide whether the castle rearranged itself overnight when Seraphina found her. The conclusion wasn't entirely unreasonable. A table that had occupied one section of the corridor yesterday had vanished. A pair of chairs had appeared in its place. Even the enormous potted tree near the window seemed to have migrated several feet for reasons nobody had bothered to explain. She was studying the evidence when Seraphina rounded the corner.
