Smooth hills, clear skies, the cackle of joyous laughter, trees swaying in the breeze. Laura was young once more, playing at the beach on an island with her grandfather. They were a happy family at least. Even though her mother was obsessed over her sisters, and her father drank with Dominic all day long, she had her grandfather by her side.
