Laura sat in front of her mirror, her fingers playing lightly on her lips. So many things had happened in one day, and so many emotions rose during the course of the day.
But the most unforgettable one was undoubtedly where she'd felt a thousand strange emotions all at once. Laura had never had a man make her feel that way.
And honestly, she wanted to stop him as he retreated. She wanted to call out to him, and tell him he didn't have to leave but alas, she couldn't say a word.
She could only watch him slip out of her hands.
