It took us a little longer to get to this next pack. We were running for about five hours before we stopped to take a break at a stream that we came across and we had a rest. Ethan suddenly stood up when he heard voices in the distance and we were all stayed really still, listening to them in the distance. Listening to their conversation and everything. We soon determined that they were just hikers, but we couldn’t risk being seen.
“Come on, let’s move.” Ethan said, and we continued through the stream and deeper into the woods, keeping away from hikers.
By sunset we reached the next pack and shifted back before approaching the border.
The patrols met us calmly.
“I’m Alpha Ethan, I’m Luna Summer.” I said.
“Our Alpha will see you.” One replied, leading us inside.
