He kept trying even though it only increased the pounding in his head. The image of Megan standing over him, her eyes full of desire, kept surfacing in his mind the harder he tried to push through the fog in his brain. For the life of him, he couldn’t figure out where it had come from. Megan had never looked at him like that before. He was sure of it.
