The moment Megan told Chloe they were going to the store to pick up some medicine for her dad, the little girl began asking questions. From the sound of it, Paul had never been sick—or at least, not that Chloe could remember. Chloe only had one parent left. She didn’t want him to go away, too. It was then Megan truly understood the little girl’s freak-out when she’d thought Megan was going to leave.
