Ravenna woke up the following day in her bed alone. She quickly jumped out of bed and scanned the room, searching for Zane, but she didn't see him. Suddenly, the events from the previous evening came back to her, and she sighed in contentment. Their talk in the cave relieved her of a ton of guilt. She decided to shower before the day started; she headed to her closet and grabbed a pair of black jeans and a black T-shirt. She threw the clothes on her bed, went into the bathroom, and stepped into the shower. She washed her body in unscented soap and shampooed her hair. Once clean, she left the shower, grabbed her towel, dried herself off, and dressed. Ravenna fixed her hair in a long French braid, sat on her bed, and began to put on her boots when she heard the door open.
