It was close to the end of the month. A week before the new month started and the clock began to count down until the next murder—something Platt couldn’t allow. There had been too many deaths at the hands of this family killer. They still had no motive for the killings, but they did know one thing, how the killer chose his victims. Platt was irritated that they hadn’t had chance to speak with Bill Brown, but what was done was done.
