Chapter Seven - Whetstone Valley High Spirit Week

            The girls are at school preparing the gym for spirit week. Friday night there will be a football game the girls have to manage their time perfectly with their academics, cheer and, their training with Grandma LuCretia. Karissa and Ashleigh are co-captains of the cheer squad The Whetstone Valley White Tigers. The gym is looking superb. With all the blue, white, and silver decorations. The girls head out for lunch to Hope’s Diner. The girls get in the twin’s car and head to the diner. While on their way to the diner

Hope says “I changed my mind let’s go somewhere else for lunch”

Karissa “why?”

Hope “because, my mom and I got into an argument before school this morning and I would really like not to see her right now”

Emma “is everything alright?”

Hope “yes, I will talk to my mom when I get home later. I am just still angry about our conversation and would like to chill out before I go back to the conversation”

Karissa “okay, so where do you want to go?”

Hope and Emma “let’s go to Maggie’s Beef Stand”

Karissa and Ashleigh “hell yeah, it has been a while since we have been to Maggie’s Beef Stand”

Maggie is Nikki’s best friend. She is like the twin’s aunt. Maggie is not part of the coven or magical. The girls arrive at Maggie’s. They get out of the car and go to the window to order their food. After they ordered they are they walked over to the picnic tables and sat down. While waiting for their food they discussed what the week schedule is.

Karissa “ok so tomorrow which is Monday we have our spirit week assembly. Where the principle will tell us the rules for spirit week and the day to day schedule. Since we are the cheer leaders we get a copy of the schedule”

Ashleigh “Tuesday will be the spirit day raffle and bake sale. The home economics club are baking a few different treats for us to sell with the raffle tickets like cupcakes cookies and brownies”

Emma “Wednesday and Friday during school on both days it is spirit day where all the students will wear the school colors and represent our school’s basketball team and football team. Wednesday night is a basketball game. Friday night is the football game.

Hope “Thursday, is our cheer day. We will perform a few of our cheer routines for the school at the end of the day. All the students can purchase school shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts and zip-up hoodies outside the gym to show off our school spirit”

Karissa “oh our food is ready; I will get it”

Karissa goes and grabs their food and comes back to the picnic table. She sits the bags on the table. The girls all start looking in the bags and passing bags back and forth to find their food. Finally, they all had their food and sat down to eat. After the girls finished their meal they decided to go to the river and relax before they had to go home just spend some time together before the long and busy week they are about to have. The river is where the girls always go together to relax or to get away. There is a cabin near the river that Emma’s father built for the girls to have a safe place away to go when they needed somewhere to get away from it all. The girls call it the river. The girls get to the cabin and get out of the car. Emma grabs some firewood for the fireplace on their way into the cabin. After getting the fire going Emma joins the rest of the girls on the couch.

Emma “so whatcha talking about?”

Ashleigh “our boyfriends, how is Dean?”

Emma “he is good, I never knew how sweet he is. Ashleigh how is Zane? Karissa “what is going on between you and Luke?”

Karissa “we are doing great he has been really busy with football practice”

Emma “yea Dean has been too”

Ashleigh “Zane is alright, he doesn’t open up to me very much. But, we are trying. Hope what about you and Keith?”

Hope “we are great we are into the same things”

Karissa “hey let’s watch a movie”

Emma, Hope and, Ashleigh “yes let’s watch the crow”

Ashleigh “Brandon Lee is so hot in that movie”

Karissa goes and puts on the movie. Ashleigh makes 2 bags of popcorn. Emma and Hope make hot chocolate with marshmallow and sprinkles. They all sit down and watch the movie.

While the girls are at the river. Back at home Nikki hears a strange sound outside while she is in her office working. Nikki gets up to investigate the noise. She walks out front there is nothing there. So, she goes back inside. As she is making her way back into her office she hears it again. Only this time she can hear the noise coming from upstairs. Nikki knows the girls are at the river. So, she goes upstairs and has a look around. She gently and quietly opens the doors to check each room. Nothing. She takes one step to go back downstairs and hears someone talking. It is coming from the attic. Nikki walks up the stairs to find out who is in the attic. She walks as quietly as possible. As she steps on the top step its creeks. She hears someone say someone is coming. So, Nikki swings open the door to see red smoke disappearing. Which means a witch or warlock just smoked out of the room. Nikki ran downstairs as fast as she could. She goes into the basement to her trunk to grab her crystals to make a magical barrier around the house to keep unwanted magical being out of the house. There are four crystals and in the center of each crystal is an element. One has a small ember of infinite fire. One has a few droplets of the eternal springs. One has dirt from nymph isle. The last one has a feather from Pegasus wing. Nikki places a crystal in each corner of the house on the main floor. One in the living room, one in the kitchen, one in her office and, one in the downstairs bathroom. When she placed the last crystal, the house was instantly covered in a magical barrier. Anyone with evil in their hearts could not enter. Not even with magic. The crystals would have to have one moved for someone to enter with evil in their heart.

Back at the river the girls are finished watching their movie. They clean up the cabin. Then they get in the car and head home. The girls get home and say good night to each other. Ashleigh is finally back in her own room. the twins say good night to each other and go into their rooms. The girls get into their pajamas and go to bed.

The next morning the girls meet up at school. All the students are headed to the gym for spirit week assembly. Home room bell rings. The principle starts his speech. The girls have heard the same speech the last 2 previous years. So, they are on their phones either on i********:, f*******: or, YouTube. About 45 minutes later. The assembly was over. Everyone headed to their classes. At lunch time all the girls met up with their boyfriends to go have lunch on the bleachers because after lunch Luke and Keith have football practice. And Dean must go running on the track to train for his game on Wednesday. The guys packed lunch together for the girls. Zane has become good friends with the guys. Dean is even trying to get Zane join the basketball team. What the girls did not know is the guys made the lunch like a picnic for the girls. the picnic was already set up on the football field. The guys covered the girl’s eyes with their hands and gently escorted them to the field where their picnic is.

The guys asked the girls “are you girls ready?”

The girls answered hesitantly “yes”

The guys removed their hands. The girls are so happy and excited they turned around and each gave their boyfriends hugs and kisses. They all said, “thank you” and sat down. The guys made their girlfriends favorite food for them. Which they all had the same favorite food. Grilled ham and cheese sandwich with a fresh salad and lite ranch dressing and chips. They all enjoyed the picnic. After they was finished eating the girls sat on the bleachers while the guys cleaned up the picnic. If the coach came out and seen them having a picnic on the field he would blow a gasket. They had about 20 minutes until lunch time was over and they had to be at their next class. The guys escorted the girls to their next classes.

            After school now Ashleigh and Karissa go to the gym to meet up with their squad. For practice. No one is there. Ashleigh grabs her phone and calls Emma.

Ashleigh “where are you and the rest of the squad?”

Emma “we are on the field, why where are you guys a?”

Ashleigh “the gym, we will be right there”

Ashleigh hangs up the phone and tells Karissa “let’s go the girls are on the field”

Karissa “ok”

Karissa and Ashleigh headed to the football field to meet up with their squad for practice. After a few hours of practice. The girls have almost perfected all three routines

Karissa and Ashleigh “alright girls we have 3 more days to get this absolutely spot on, that ends practice for today. We will meet again every day until Thursday for practice in the gym tomorrow it’s going to rain”

Everyone leaves and heads home except Ashleigh and Karissa. They head to the economics club to check on the deserts for tomorrow.

            Karissa stops at the bathroom and Ashleigh goes into the home mech lab. “how is every doing in here?” Ashleigh said as she walked in the room. the leader of the club is Cheryl.

Cheryl “we are almost finished 2 more batches of cookies and 1 more batch of cupcakes and 1 more batch of brownies to go.”

Ashleigh “fantastic, thank you all for your hard work in preparing for the raffle tomorrow.”

Cheryl “you are very welcome. We enjoyed making these sweet treats we also made cake pops as well but we finished those first.”

Ashleigh “excellent. Everyone loves cake pops. Well done”

Cheryl “thank you”

Karissa “what did I miss”

Ashleigh “they are almost finished the treats for tomorrow”

Karissa “awesomeness”

Ashleigh “thank you ladies again, come on Karissa we got to get home and get sleep for tomorrows bake and raffle sale”

Karissa and Ashleigh “see you in the morning girls”

Home mech club “bye”

            The girls get home eat their dinner and head to the attic. For training with LuCretia. The door appears and they walk into the library to see LuCretia sitting there she is in a true form now no longer and spiritual form.

Ashleigh “grandma how is you alive?”

LuCretia “I am not alive I was given my true form to be able to leave this room and train you girls. it is a gift from the gods and goddesses”

Karissa “oh cool”

Ashleigh “so you can leave the library now?”

Karissa “yes, your mom almost caught me last night when I came out of the library I had to smoke out”

Ashleigh “so, you are the reason mom placed the protection crystal’s”

LuCretia “yes I am sorry to make everyone worry. Shall we begin”

Ashleigh and Karissa “yes we are ready”

LuCretia “alright then, today I am teaching you how to scry for evil in whetstone valley”

Ashleigh “scry?”

LuCretia “yes, scrying is a witch’s main tool for locating evil”

LuCretia grabs a map from the table and lays it flat on the table. Then she grabs a necklace from the wooden chest and places it on top of the map on the table. LuCretia then grabs this huge chest that has wheels and it is standing on its side.

Karissa “what the hell is that?”

LuCretia “language young lady. A lady never speaks so abruptly. And it is a spice and herb chest. Filled with everything a witch may need for potions spells and enchantments”

Ashleigh “okay so where do we find all the ingredients in the chest when we run out?”

LuCretia “it is an enchanted chest it never runs out”

Karissa “awesome, you think we can make a wardrobe like that always filled with the latest fashion and never runs out of outfits?”

Ashleigh “Karissa”

Karissa “what, it’s a legit question”

LuCretia “no, let’s move on shall we?”

Ashleigh and Karissa “yes mam”

LuCretia “now girls get your pestle and mortar please”

Karissa “what the hell is that?”

LuCretia “it is a tool used to grind herbs”

Ashleigh holding her pestle and mortar saying “this it is like a stone bowl and a tiny stone club”

Karissa “oh, okay. Got mine”

LuCretia “now grab a clump of mugwort and a pinch of bay and grind it together after it is grounded up add a dash of rosemary oil and grind that together”

The twins grind the 2 herbs together and then add the oil and grind that in making a paste.

LuCretia “great job girls, now grab your scrying crystal and place it is the mortar and chant these words” “with this crystal I call to the power of the witches before me to grant me the power to find my enemies”

Ashleigh and Karissa “with this crystal I call to the power of the witches before me to grant me the power to find my enemies”

The crystals begin to glow.

LuCretia “now take the crystals and hold them over the map and focus on dark energy to locate those who use dark magic”

The twin’s take turns scrying Karissa goes first she holds the crystal over the map for 2 minutes and nothing happens. Karissa gets furious and throws her crystal at the wall. Now it is Ashleigh’s turn. Ashleigh stands at the table and holds the crystal over the map and in seconds locations on the map start to glow showing evil activity on the map. Then as Ashleigh is still focused on scrying the globe in the corner of the library begins to light up in spots all over the globe showing dark magic being used all around the world. In this very moment LuCretia knew that Ashleigh had greater powers than Karissa, but she also said nothing or showed any sign to either of the girls for she knew if she did she could set Karissa on a very dark path.

Karissa upset said “how come Ashleigh could do it and I can’t?”

LuCretia “do you have something else on your mind Karissa?”

Karissa “yes, its Luke I haven’t heard from him since lunch earlier today he hasn’t answered any of my calls or text messages. What if something bad has happened to him?”

LuCretia “okay I guess we should ease your mind and find out which will also make a good lesson in through the looking glass”

Karissa “what is through the looking glass?”

LuCretia “through the looking glass is another especially useful tool of a witch’s arsenal. The ability to use a looking glass to see someone or something without being present. Some witch’s call it a spy glass enchantment. A witch holds a mirror and can use the mirror to see through another mirror or any surface with a reflection to see her enemies or a loved one or just to simple see something she can’t see.”

Karissa “okay how do I do it?”

LuCretia “grab a mirror”

Karissa walks over to the large standing mirror in the corner of the library by the door and then looks and LuCretia waiting for further instructions.

LuCretia “gently touch the mirror and say show who I seek”

Karissa touches the middle of the mirror and says “show me who I seek”

The mirror cracks straight down the middle and then shatters to the floor.

Karissa “what did I do wrong?”

LuCretia “you did it perfectly, it should have worked unless…”

LuCretia pauses

Karissa “unless what?”

LuCretia “sorry dear, unless Luke has been cloaked from a witches magic with a talisman that witch hunters use to hide their children from witches. Witch hunters believe that witches devoir the souls of children for power”

Ashleigh “why on earth would they think that?”

LuCretia “because dark witches have been known to do so”

Karissa “when you say devoir, what exactly do you mean?”

LuCretia “they would eat the child’s soul and their hearts”

Karissa “why the f**k would a witch even do that?”

LuCretia “it gives a dark witch extra power. It does not last long 24 hours at the most. That is why a dark witch would devoir all the children in a village to obtain enough power to go on for months maybe even years. The purest souls would give the most energy.”

Ashleigh “the purest souls? You mean babies?”

LuCretia “yes, a newborn baby’s soul is one of the most covenant souls especially newborn witch babies.”

Ashleigh “I could never”

Karissa “I guess I understand why a dark witch would do that, but I could never hurt let alone eat a baby or a child”

LuCretia could see darkness in Karissa. And she feared what Karissa would do if she went dark. There are parts of the prophecy that LuCretia has kept to herself for centuries. No one could ever learn the rest of the prophecy. If they did the evil that lurks would use it to their advantage.

LuCretia “alright girls that’s enough lessons for tonight off to bed the both of you”

Karissa and Ashleigh go to their rooms to go to bed. Ashleigh went to sleep while Karissa is still awake worrying about Luke. She texts Luke again

Karissa’s text message to Luke “Luke, r u okay? U have me worried. Txt me back or call me plz.”

Karissa holds her cell phone tightly while lying in her bed crying and thinking of the worse. Eventually Karissa falls asleep.

            Next morning Ashleigh walks into Karissa’s room to wake her up and notices Karissa was crying when she fell asleep. So Ashleigh runs back to her room and smokes to Luke’s house to check on him when she noticed no one was home she went to sneak into the house and when she touched the door knob she got this electric pulse shooting up her arm which made her drop to her knees. The electric pulse she felt was a witch hunters tracker being implanted into her body. Then

Luke’s father Mr. Harrison opened the door and said, “Karissa what on earth are you doing here so early in the morning?”

Ashleigh immediately stood up pretending she dropped her phone and went along with being Karissa and said “sorry Mr. Harrison, I am looking for Luke he hasn’t been answering his phone and I am getting worried”

Mr. Harrison “he left town and won’t be back for several weeks I sent him to military camp, and he cannot use his cellphone until he gets home. I also think it would be best if you stay away from my son you are no good for him.”

Ashleigh pretending to be Karissa “I don’t understand why I can’t go near Luke anymore?”

Mr. Harrison “because I know what you are”

Mr. Harrison slams the door shut in Ashleigh's face. Ashleigh walks away heading somewhere private to smoke back home. She finds and abandoned house and goes outback to smoke home. But what she did not know was the house was not abandoned someone in fact lived there and seen Ashleigh use her smoke to go home. When Ashleigh arrived home, Karissa had already left for school Ashleigh noticed she was late for the sweet treat sale. She rushed to get ready and ran downstairs and asked her mom to take her to school. Ashleigh arrived at school the sweet treat sale was over they sold every treat they had. Ashleigh went to the office to get a late pass because everyone was already in first period. Ashleigh was so late she missed homeroom. When she gets to the office she notices Luke in the office with the principle and his father. Ashleigh confused cast a spell to ease drop on their conversation.

Mr. Harrison “my son will not attend a school full of witches”

Principle Kane “Mr. Harrison, I can assure there are no witch’s here at our school”

Luke “dad please this is ridiculous”

Mr. Harrison yelling and screaming “she is a witch” pointing at Ashleigh calling her Karissa.

Luke laughed and said “dad she isn’t a witch and she isn’t Karissa that is Karissa’s twin sister Ashleigh”

Ashleigh thought to herself “at least he can tell us apart I wonder if Zane can. How does Mr. Harrison know I am a witch?”

Mr. Harrison “Luke, did you just say she is a twin?”

Luke “yes, dad a twin. Not a witch”

Mr. Harrison changed his tune quick. He knew about the whetstone family prophecy of the golden twins. He apologized to Principle Kane and left. Luke walked over to Ashleigh and said

Luke “hey Ash, will you let Karissa know I am grounded, and my father took my phone. My dad is sending me away for a few weeks to a boot camp thing because my coach told him I quit football after this season”

Ashleigh “of course I will let her know”

Luke “thanks, oh can you give her this for me please?”

Luke hands Ashleigh an envelope addressed to Karissa.

Ashleigh “yes, I will no problem Luke see you soon”

Ashleigh gives Luke a hug and Luke leaves. The secretary at the front desk hands Ashleigh a late pass and sent Ashleigh to class. After school and cheer practice Ashleigh and Karissa got home and Ashleigh took Karissa into the attic and hands her the letter from Luke. Karissa took the letter and sat on the floor. She opened the letter and began to cry.

Ashleigh “are you alright?”

Karissa “when did you see him?”

Ashleigh “this morning in the office when I was late to school”

Karissa “oh”

Ashleigh “his dad knows we are witch’s. I do not know how but he does”

Karissa “it does not matter no one will believe him”

LuCretia comes running out the library door checking every inch of the girls.

Karissa “grandma what are you doing?”

LuCretia “one of you has a tracker in you”

Karissa “how and what the f**k is a tracker?”

LuCretia “it is something witch hunter’s booby trap their homes with”

Karissa “how do we find out which one of us has it and how would we have it?”

Ashleigh “does it cause an electric pulse in a witch’s body?”

LuCretia “yes, where and when did it happen?”

Ashleigh “this morning at Luke’s house”

Karissa “what?”

Ashleigh “I see u fell asleep crying, so I went there to find out what was going on”

LuCretia “come with me now”

Ashleigh and Karissa went into the library with LuCretia.

LuCretia “this is going to hurt”

Ashleigh “what”

LuCretia begins removing the tracker. Ashleigh starts screaming in severe pain. After 20 or more minutes had past LuCretia had finally removed the tracker from Ashleigh. Ashleigh breathing heavy and in pain says, “is it gone?”

LuCretia “yes my child. You are safe now”

Karissa “what the hell”

LuCretia “Luke and his family are witch hunters”

Karissa “then I guess he isn’t really going to boot camp”

LuCretia “most likely no. he is probably going to witch hunter training he may know, and he may not know”

Ashleigh “how would he not know I heard his father accusing me of being a witch but when Luke told him Karissa and I are twins he changed his mind and left.

LuCretia “what is this Luke’s last name?”

Karissa “Harrison”

LuCretia “I need a blood sample from either Luke or his father”

Karissa “what why?”

LuCretia “because there was a with hunter in my time named Matthew Hopkins. I need to know if Luke is descendant of him”

Ashleigh “why?”

LuCretia “because, he could be extremely dangerous to you girls and if not Luke his father absolutely is a danger to you girls. Hopkins witch hunters have been after my blood line for generation’s my eldest daughter Elizabeth was hanged by Hopkins for witchcraft”

Ashleigh “Yes and Matthew Hopkins was hunted by our coven and murdered for the hanging of Elizabeth”

LuCretia “yes, he was leaving his 3 sons and a daughter fatherless”

Ashleigh “we were never told that part of the story”

LuCretia “because only the witch who found him and killed him knew and kept that part to herself because the rest of the coven would have executed them so no one would retaliate against our coven, but they were children no one especially a witch should take a child’s life”

Ashleigh “because of the dark magic?”

LuCretia “correct, if a good witch kills a child for any reason they will be overcome with dark magic and she will be corrupted forever”

Karissa “okay but what if the child is pure evil”

LuCretia “then it would not be a human child it would be a dark creature of some sort. Which is a different story. Killing a human child is one of the darkest acts a witch could do. Killing a human child or any child who is not an evil child will stain a witch’s magic forever.”

Karissa “So, there is no way to cleanse your magic at all?”

LuCretia “no, not from the murdering of an innocent child”

Karissa “note to self never kill a child”

Ashleigh “it is common sense why would anyone kill a child?”

Karissa “I don’t like kids, but I would never kill a kid”

LuCretia became worried with the way Karissa has been acting.

LuCretia “would you girls like to retry scrying today?”

Karissa “yes please”

LuCretia “alright Karissa you are first today. Begin”

Karissa grabs her scrying crystal and holds it over the map focusing on evil and the map begins to glow in random spots all over town. But it glows the brightest at their home. Evil is in their house. Ashleigh and Karissa run out of the library and downstairs to find the evil. LuCretia quickly seals the door with a cloaking spell. The twins search the entire house and found nothing so the search around the house and still found nothing. Karissa and Ashleigh completely confused run back upstairs and go back into the library to talk to their grandmother.

Karissa and Ashleigh “I don’t understand there is no one here in or outside”

LuCretia realized why the scrying show evil at the house because Karissa was focusing on the potential for great evil not actual evil itself.

LuCretia “I am not sure girls. lessons are over for today”

Ashleigh and Karissa leave the library­­­­ and go to the diner for dinner with Hope and Emma. Meanwhile LuCretia didn’t tell the girls her secret she is not the ghost of their so many great grandmother she is their actual great grandmother the library is a time portal while they are in the library they are in a place where time is stopped for them. LuCretia created it for the golden twins to have a guide. No oracle has been born since LuCretia and the girls were going to need an oracle on their side. If they are to win their trials and their war. In the library LuCretia begins scrying for the greatest potential for evil in the twin’s time in whetstone valley and everywhere the twins go is the brightest light for potential great evil. The girls have not devoted themselves to good or evil yet. Because they are not old enough. They can only choose their light on their 18th birthday completion ritual. LuCretia became very worried that her full prophecy would come to pass.

            The next day at last period the girls were getting ready to have a spirit day rally for the basketball team to boost their spirits for the game tonight. Everyone is wearing their school spirit colors blue, white and, silver. After the pep rally everyone went home to get ready for the game tonight the cheerleaders would be there but not preforming routines just to cheer for their basketball team and boost their spirits.

Karissa “Ashleigh come one its 7:45 the game starts in 15 minutes. And how would it look if the co-cheer captains aren’t there for their team when the game starts?”

Ashleigh “alright I’m coming. I am ready let us go pushy pants”

Karissa “don’t call me that”

Ashleigh “sorry it was just a joke”

Karissa “I am not in the mood for jokes. I just want to get this night and week over with so I don’t have to be cheery for a while and I can miss my boyfriend properly”

Ashleigh “I am sorry Rissa”

Karissa “it’s not your fault Ash”

The girls hugged and then they hurried to the school. Arriving just in time the run into the gym without even being able to catch their breath they instantly begin to cheer for their team as the players begin to run out of the locker room onto the court.

            The game begins the cheer leaders cheering for the team everyone screaming and yelling. Suddenly Karissa dropped to the floor from all the noise and went into a cradle position. Ashleigh squatted down next to her trying to get Karissa to respond. Suddenly Ashleigh looks up and there is Luke. He scoops Karissa up into his arms into a bridal hold and takes her into the hallway. Ashleigh, Emma and, Hope follow.

Luke “give us a few minutes please girls?”

Ashleigh “alright, take your time”

Karissa is having a panic attack and cannot calm down she has no idea Luke is even their Infront of her. Luke starts moving her hair from her face and wiping her tears away. Then he gently kisses her forehead. Karissa could feel Luke’s energy once he kissed her forehead and started to calm down. Once she was calmed down she realized Luke was right there Infront of her.

Karissa “you’re back? Are you staying or are you leaving again?”

Luke “I am staying. I can’t be without you”

Karissa hugs Luke as tightly as she could.

Karissa “I don’t ever want to let you go. I love you too”

Luke “Karissa, I know what you and Ashleigh are”

Karissa “what are you talking about?”

Luke “my dad told me everything”

Karissa “like what?”

Luke “you and Ashleigh are witch’s and known as the golden twins. The most powerful witches to ever walk the earth”

Karissa “no we are not”

Luke “it’s okay I won’t tell my father anything and I won’t let no one hurt you”

Karissa “Luke, I can’t”

Luke “alright when you are ready just know I am not going anywhere”

Karissa “what about your dad Luke? He is going to make you go to camp”

Luke “it’s not boot camp or whatever he calls it. It is training to make me a witch hunter, but I won’t be one I refused the mark there is nothing my dad can do it is my decision if I refuse it I can never accept it”

Karissa “prove you didn’t take the mark show me your chest”

Luke stands up and takes his hoodie and shirt off. His toned muscular abs and biceps had Karissa melting into him, but she had to snap back to normal she examined Luke’s chest for any sign of the marking. The game announcer starts announcing the teams “welcome our visiting team the Kendell High Vipers.” The visiting teams crowd starts cheering along with their cheerleaders and the whetstone valley high white tigers are booing the other team. The announcer continues. “Now welcome our very own The Whetstone Valley High White Tigers.” Our teams crowd starts cheering and screaming “GO white tigers!” the last 2 players to run out onto the field is Keith and Luke. Karissa and Hope were thrilled they have been worried all day about Luke and Keith. About halfway through the game a thick dark fog rolls in and it rolls in fast. Suddenly it goes so quiet you can hear the winds blowing softly through the trees. The girls are the only ones on the field who was not effected by whatever the fog dragged into town. Not long after the fog came in it disappeared and revealed that everyone at the game was unconscious.

Karissa and Hope run to Keith and Luke. They check their pulse and they are still alive. Ashleigh and Emma go and check Dean and Zane’s and their still alive. The girls check a few more people and discovered everyone is in a deep sleep of some kind.
