CHAPTER TWO

Alpha Ryan was surprised as this was the least place he had expected to meet his mate. He had this strong urge to just run to her, hug her tightly and just breath in her scent but for some reason he remained seated in his seat. Collins came back with the girl whose hands were tied and stood beside alpha Ryan. Immediately Alpha Ledger saw the girl, a feeling of relief was shown on his face but it was almost nonexistent as just like Alpha Ryan, he was known to always mask his feelings.

“Give her to me” alpha Ledger said while still looking at the young girl whose head was bent.

“No, things don't work that way, you know I cannot just release her just like that, not even with the ruckus you have created in my pack”.

“What do you want?” Alpha Ledger said glaringly at alpha Ryan.

“Well just like you, you also have my mate with you and I want her” Alpha Ryan said shocking everyone in the hall including Alpha Ledger as who would have expected that the alpha's mate was in Alpha Ledger’s pack.

“And who is she? tell me so that I can spot her out as you know that one should not be denied his mate” alpha ledger said while still looking at alpha Ryan.

Alpha Ryan stood up from his seat, walked towards alpha Ledger and held the hand of the lady he saw who had approached alpha ledger the other time.

“Isabella?” alpha Ledger said surprisingly while staring at Isabella. Isabella did not look surprised as immediately she had entered the room, she had felt the mate’s bond.

“How come I am only feeing this now? he was in our pack two months ago and we grew up together, all four of us including his late sister but I have never felt it before only today”. Isabella said wonderingly.

“As you just said, a mate should not be denied his equal so I am not exempted from it either right?” Alpha Ryan said while looking at Alpha Ledger who for the first time looked shaken but it was only for a little while because Alpha Ledger soon composed himself.

“Isabella, we’re you aware of this?” Alpha Ledger asked as he was still surprised as this was not what he had expected

“No, I just found out now, but I thought I was all just imagining it, I'm sorry brother” Isabella said with tears in her eyes. She ran to her brother begging him that she did not want to stay with alpha Ryan but there was nothing alpha Ledger could do again, the heavens have already provided her with her mate and as such, he would only be cruel to deprive her mate of his other half and doing that would only bring about nothing but war and destruction. It was settled, alpha Ledger took all his people and his mate and set off to go back to his pack while Isabella had no other option than to give in. It had all been settled and there was nothing her brother could do again.

“This is your new home and just so you know I don't agree to this, I will never forgive you for what you did two years ago and you will just be my pack’s luna but you will never be my mate, I detest you, I hate everything about you; your smile, your face, your body, the way you talk and more importantly your scent and just make sure that during your stay here you do not come near me, stay far away from me if you do not want to be burned. Take her to her room” saying this, alpha Ryan left the meeting room to attend to some matters.

Sobbing quietly, Isabella sat down on the floor feeling weak as the greatest pain is the one that is inflicted on you by your mate, but she cannot do anything or say anything as she also has her fault in this. She has hurt him beyond measure and that was why she was trying to ignore the mate’s bond because how can she spend eternity with someone that hates her to the core?

“Luna stand up, follow me and come, let me take you to your room” an old looking woman said while looking at the pitiful woman on the floor. Their alpha was known to be very cruel but she never expected that his cruel side would reach his luna and mate. She thought that on this day, his heart would soften a little bit due to the presence of his mate but guess she was wrong.

Isabella stood up and followed the woman to the assigned room for her.

“This would be your room luna, our alpha personally selected and monitored the cleaning and arranging of this room” the lady who I just found out is granny Liv told me, trying to appease me a little but no word can ease the pain my heart is feeling now; a pain that was inflicted by my very own moon blessed.

“Thank you go much granny Liv, I can manage myself now and I also don't want to disturb you as I'm sure you would be so busy now”Isabella said while trying to assure the old lady that she’s ok now. Granny Liv left Isabella all to herself and Isabella finally observed her new home, to be very honest, she never wanted to be here, she felt so down today and it was all because of her sister Carmella that she came to this pack. And to think that she never got the chance to say goodbye to everyone. She sighed and then closed her eyes and when she opened it back, there was not a trace of weakness found in them anymore, all that was seen was determination.
