It was night time when Zona came back to his home. His shoulder slouched, his legs dragging in defeat. Zagerba rushed up to him, she stopped abruptly when she saw that Zaire was not with him. She knelt a few feet away from him and cried bitterly. Zeneba who was dozing was awakened by her tears, the look on her father's face as he passed by her showed that he could find her brother.
"It was all my fault" she shed her fresh share of tears.
The next day was a gloomy one, even the sky made sure of it. There were many groups of men flocking in and out of our hut while some sat by and others stood greeting Zona, consoling Zagerba but none of them paid attention to Zeneba.
