The hologram rippled momentarily before coming back into focus. Kasan stood before the statue of some grand explorer, gazing out on a crowd of awestruck townsfolk who looked like they were about ready to fall on their knees and worship him. His stern expression must have been quite reassuring: a silent promise that their city would no longer suffer under the thumb of a mob boss with superpowers.
“I speak now to those who would harm the good people of High Falls!” he shouted. “To the infamous archer who has struck fear into the hearts of decent men and women!”
Tommy flinched at that.
“If you are anything other than a coward,” Kasan went on. “You will face me here before the eyes of the Almighty and the people you would so wantonly s*******r. And then you will meet your just fate!”
