Chapter 4 - everything changes

As I continue going from room to room, I am continually in awe of the absolute stunningly beautiful fixtures in the rooms and the hallways. I’ve never lived in a place so luxurious as this. It had every upgrade one could wish for, from the range oven and stove to the refrigeration and freezing facilities!! We can change the temperature of both with a touchscreen!! It was so exciting!! As an enthusiastic cook, these excited me. I loved to cook, to create new dishes to make my mom happy, because I know she’s had a tough life. I love seeing my mom happy, her smile is stunning and Makes everyone around her happy too. I reach the stairs, they aren’t steep so I climb them to the first floor. There’s four doors here. I feel drawn to the second door. I enter and to my surprise, it’s a library. It’s absolutely filled with books, new and old. It is immediately my favourite place. I am an avid reader and I absolutely love history. I knew I’d be spending a lot of my spare time here. Somehow, the smell of antique books calms me. I absolutely love it. Which is one of the reasons I didn’t fit in at my last school. Nobody likes a mousy bookworm. I didn’t actually care, if I’m honest, I know my worth, therefore I happily ignore comments directed at me. The library is my happy place. I knew immediately that I’d absolutely love it here!
