Here we are. As we unlocked the door and stepped inside our new home, we turned the lights on and looked around in awe. Inside was stunning. An open plan living area with a dining kitchen, all appliances included, top or the range too. I was looking forward to cooking on these appliances! It was absolutely beautiful. Modern and up to date is all I could say of this kitchen. “Sakura, why don’t you go choose your room?” Mom said. I was so in awe of this beautiful place I forgot everything else. “Uhh yeah, good idea, mom!!” I said as I ran upstairs to choose my room. I got to the landing and damn, so many doors!! I walked into the first one. It had a small, single bed. As I walked further in, I noticed a fireplace, then a small sink. That’s all there seemed to be in that room so I walked out and closed the door behind me. I felt drawn to the third door though. As I drew near, I felt a slight buzzing in my mind, not unpleasant, as though pulling me to the room. I entered the room and immediately the buzzing stopped. I looked around, the room was beautiful. A queen sized bed, a simple nightstand with an oil lamp and a private bathroom, like it had been made for me. I rolled my case into one of the larger closets, opposite the bed, then I placed my backpack at the foot of the bed and continued exploring. The room had a gorgeous en-suite, white marble tiles from floor to ceiling, claw foot tub and a rainfall shower. I was in awe of it, and it just screamed ME!! It was a mile away from the bathroom in our previous home, which consisted of just a shower, sink and toilet. I decided to go look around the place, as I’m curious by nature and absolutely love exploring new places. “Suki!!” (My mom’s nickname for me) My mom’s voice floated up to me from the kitchen “I’m making dinner, it’ll be 20 minutes!!” I yelled ‘ok!’, acknowledging her. Time to explore!
