Chapter 4 My Heart

This woman is absolutely amazing. She did all this by herself. I can't believe it. Kai asked her a question that had been floating around in all of our heads. " You didn't get caught by any of the bad survivors, did you." She paused for a moment, a far away look in her eyes. At that moment, we all knew what the answer was. She stood up and walked over to the grill and, pulling the food off, put it on a plate and brought it to the table. She set the food down and then walked inside the house. Jake looked at Kai and said "What the hell Kai why did you have to ask that now she is going to." before Jake Could finish his sentence she came back out with a bottle of Jack Daniel's and 6 glasses she set it all on the table then sat down. The look in her eyes said so much but nothing at all. At the same time, I could tell that she didn't want to have this conversation but decided to tell us.

"A couple of days after I ran I was caught by two men they kept me for about 3 days" she looked at all of us and sighed and continued" I know that's not long but in that time they did a lot of damage I'm not gonna talk about what they did because I don't feel comfortable with that, but it changed me made me more determined to survive and not get near those people ever again or anyone like them, I was only with him for three days because they had captured another girl and the other girl was bitten before she was captured so she turned in the middle of them doing things to her killed both of them another girl who was playing her part so she could stay out of the cages had grabbed a gun and killed the girl and the two dies she released me and the other girls that they had, and we all ran I wanted to stick with those girls, but they just wanted to go and find another group to settle with I think they had all gotten to the point to where they didn't care if they were Used as a toy One of the girls had said that she was captured literally the day after The outbreak happened, but I thought it was smarter to stay away from people especially non werewolves because I would need to shift and let my beast out every once in a while and I didn't think it was safe with humans around so I stuck to myself Shortly after that I found this place" I could tell they were all Pissed off just like me but what could we do besides protect her now we decided to get off the heavy topics and started eating I can tell you one thing this was the first meal I've had what 5 years it was delicious as the meal started winding down Willow thanked us all for talking with her and decided to head to bed she told us to take whatever rooms we wanted when we asked if there was one room that we could use that had a huge bed in it, she blushed and said yeah follow me I didn't think this house could get any better than she took Us to the attic in the attic was a huge bed that could have fit at least 10 people it was from wall to wall the entire attic was beautifully decorated and also had a stockpile of everything that you would need in case someone came and tried to infiltrate the house we were all stoked that we would be able to sleep together she didn't ask any questions we just all kind of chuckled at her Reddening face she quickly turned around and went out the door and down the stairs we all got ready for bed and laid down I don't think any of us could actually fall asleep knowing that she's not up here with us, but we knew she wasn't comfortable with that yet so we mostly just talked about everything that has happened so far and everything we hope will happen in the future.

I can tell you one thing i'm glad I soundproofed the house i'm glad I soundproof every single room because I don't want to know what's going on up there kept giggling to myself imagining what could be going on but not trying to picture it I got ready for bed looking around my room it felt a little empty but I had gotten used to it I went back downstairs to make sure everything was locked down to make sure the electric fence was on and that the alarms were set I wanted to make sure that nothing would happen in the middle of the night i've had too many close calls to not make sure anything doesn't happen I decided to go out on the back porch and sit on the porch swing and drink a beer write a book and smoke a bowl god I love it when it's quite like this only the fate sound of owls In the distance I contemplated everything that I had told the guys wondering if I had told them too much or if I could trust them I know they're my mates, but Sometimes you just can't trust the people that are supposed to be close to you before too long I started getting restless and decided that I needed to shift and run off some of this pent-up energy as I walked down the stairs to stand in the backyard I could feel eyes on me, I knew it was one of the guys I didn't know which one, and I wasn't going to turn around to find out I started stripping I know they could see me in all my glory, but I didn't care I'd gotten lucky and came across a chick by the name of Harper, she was human but apparently was mated to a werewolf she stuck with me for about a month before she decided to leave and see if she could find her mate I had wished her well and told her she couldn't find him to come back she would always be welcome here she just couldn't bring anyone with her unless it was just her mate she agreed but in the time that she was here she tattooed my back for me out of all the things she saved out of the normal world it was her tattoo equipment and all her ink I think she had more of that stuff in her backpack than actual survival stuff she asked me to save it for her, it's in a box under my bed she had tattooed a beautiful piece down my back well beautiful to me, it's of my favorite anime it's Goku and Vegeta going Super Saiyan On Super Buu But my pride and joy was the tattoo I have going across my lower back it is an actual representation of my wolf her name is Phoebe I think she is absolutely stunning she has long pitch black fur she's taller than any werewolf i've ever seen I think it has to do with the fact that we're not a werewolf compared to an alpha we're at least a foot and a half taller my parents always afraid that if other people saw how big my wolf was then it would cause problems for me or get me killed so she only allowed me to shift at night my dad was a little more lenient I could shift during the day as long as I was with him or my brothers I could still feel one of the guys eyes on me as I shifted into my beautiful wolf I took off into the woods determined to get some of this pent-up energy out.
