Chapter3 Staying?

I had just come back in from the garden and shed where I kept the freezers and the 3 extra refrigerators. I pulled out extra stakes and beer, then hit the garden to grab more corn and potatoes. As I walked back to the house I thought about how I needed to harvest the rest of my vegetables and get everything put away before winter comes. Even though we are on the coast, we are far enough inland to get snow. I walked up the steps to the back door, opening it and walking in, all 5 men were in the kitchen sitting at the table talking and laughing. They were playing cards. Once Henry saw me, he got up and walked over. "Hey, do you need help, willow?" I looked up at him. I was about to answer when the alarm sounded. I sighed as I walked over to the computer and flipped to the cameras. Looking. I see that some walkers are trying to get through the fence. I wait until all 4 of them are touching it before I hit the button to turn on the electric fence. All 4 walkers started to seize and convulse. I waited for about 3 minutes before I hit the maximum voltage. The guys are all standing behind me watching intently at the screen. One by one, the walker's heads started exploding. Once all of them were dead, I turned the power off. I turned around, and all 5 men were staring at me dumbfounded. i just shrugged and walked back to the kitchen. I washed my hands and started making dinner after a few silent seconds Theo came up and offered to help i pointed to the cabinet "plates are there glasses in the cabinet next to that and the silverware are in the top drawer on the left of the sink." I started rapping all the potatoes and corn in tin foil then took the steaks and vegetables to the self contained grill, putting them on i walked back into the house looking at the guys "Why don't we eat out on the deck tonight and get to know each other I know we are mates but with everything I've been through I want to get to know you guys first." all the guys agreed and started taking everything out to the table. I excused myself to go change I walked into my room and started to undress I could hear the guy talking and decided to listen to them. " What are the chances we find this place and the woman who lives here is a werewolf and our mate it's absolutely amazing" "I can't believe how bad ass she is just the fact that she set all this up is mind blowing she must be related to the moon goddess how else can you explain it." He chuckled I finished changing and walked outside to the deck Kai looked up at me and smiled I walk over to the cooler I had outside and opened it pulling out some beers for the guys and a soda for me setting all the drinks on the table looking up I see Johnathan checking on the food so I sat down at the table not even 2 minutes after Henry asked me a question. "So Willow tell us about your self and maybe shed some light on how you did all this" he gestured around the property. I looked at him for a moment wondering if I should be that open with them I know they are my mate's but would they hurt me thinking about it I decide to tell them. "Well I am the baby of my family I was my dad's little princess I followed him around like my life depended on it I went to training with them I did everything with my dad when I was about four I shifted for the first time I know you're not supposed to shift until you're 18 but I'm not a normal wolf we went to several different packs to speak to different elders after about the 4th or 5th pack we found out that I am what is called a dire wolf according to the elders of the moonstone pack my species died out thousands of years ago we were considered the perfect shifter but unfortunately when you got too many of the dire wolves together they became aggressive and lost their human sides the moon goddess was extremely sad about that so she created werewolves I found out that the moon goddess decided to put one or two direwolves on the Earth at a time in different locations so that way they weren't tempted to go astray I was from the starlight pack our pack was a nomad pack we lived off the land we had very little interaction with other packs we learned how to work solar panels and live off the land my dad taught me how to survive if everything went to s*** which apparently it did. My mother taught me how to scavenge and grow my own food. I was well prepared I guess you could say. I have 5 older brothers they were 35 when they died after being bitten there was Zane he was the oldest by 30 mins then Zander, Zack, Zuze and Zavier. then my two older sisters Quinn she was older by 15 minutes she loved reminding Emily about that fact Quinn died in a rouge attack when I was 14. Emily was mated to the Alpha of my pack his name was Luca he was and amazing Alpha. my mom made me run when she got bitten I had gotten to the edge of my packs territory when I heard the gunshot I had been running for about a week before I found this place it was rundown and the fact I never found a road or trail I knew this place was forgotten about. for the next year I worked to fix this place up after the first night I found a bomb shelter so I slept in that. I found a map and started to look for any signs of a town once I found one on the map I packed a backpack with things I would need to survive the journey, on the way I came across survivors I had gotten excited about finding other people but when I saw that they had girls in cages and were forcing young men to fight with walkers I steered clear of them. After about a day and a half I made it to the town it was pretty much untouched I found a truck and used it to gather as much supplies as it would carry I left the truck in a barn at the edge of town and then got one of the really big u-hal trucks and filled it with everything from Walmart and the pharmacy. I then left that truck with the other one. I got one more of the big trucks and hooked up one of the big trailers and went to the hardware store loaded everything that would fit it took me a week and 3 days to get all the vehicles to the property as soon as I got back I started doing all this.it took me about 3 months to erect the wall I think that was the hardest part of the whole thing. whoever built the bomb shelter had brought in a whole bunch of steel plates I mean like thousands looks like they wanted to extend their bomb shelter they had also brought in digging equipment farming equipment they wanted to basically turn this into a self-sustained home the solar panels were already here along with all of the batteries I set everything up reinforced the walls with the steel I had took in the siding off of the house to do that once I got the steel plates up on the walls outside I put the siding back over it to make it look like there was nothing changed I then started my garden near the end of the one-year mark I found a farm not too far away that still had cattle and chickens pigs goats sheep all the types of farm animals you could ever want thankfully there was trailers so first I loaded up all of the small animals brought them back then the big animals brought them back and then I went back for all of the feed for all of the animals I started growing all the feed that I would ever need for the animals so that way I didn't run out thankfully the sheep and the goats cows could all graze the field once I had everything set up I just survived."
