The boardroom at KhanTech Solutions Pvt Ltd. fell silent as Adi walked in. His presence was a storm, black suit tailored sharp, his jaw shadowed, his eyes burning. Saad was already there, lounging in his chair with false confidence. But when his gaze met the documents presented by the investigator before him, that smirk wavered. Adi didn’t sit. He stood at the other end of the mirror, gaze fixed like a blade, listening to every word going in the investigation. “Explain,” Adi screamed as the frustration inside him reached to a boiling point if only Saad could hear him. He could see Saad, as he tried to chuckle, delaying his answers. “Misunderstanding. You know how women exaggerate. HR complaints are—” The table trembled as Adi slammed his palm on it. The interogator asked,“Do not insult me. What did you do?” Saad’s smirk slipped into irritation. “I didn’t do anything. Just… handled an employee the way a boss should. She overreacted. That’s all.” Adi leaned forward, his jaw inches from the mirror, he couldnt take it any longer, Saads blatant lies and the fact that he was engaged ! Engaged to her ...how would she react if she found out. “Rehaaan.” Adi’s voice cut the air like a knife. His assistant immediately slid a file forward. “The complainant’s file has all the documents to proof Mr.saads misconduct enough to file a legal case, sir.” He hesitated. Adi’s gaze snapped to him. “The other file?” Rehan’s throat tightened. “Mr.Saad has been long engaged to a girl named Samaira but she has not yet been called in for any aid to the case for justification of Mr.Saads character. Surprisingly, there was a cross-reference when I pulled the records. She’s been employed with… Khan Enterprises Headquarters. For the last eight months.” The name spilled from his lips like a secret that burned. “Samaira Ali.” The world blurred. Adi’s fist clenched so hard his knuckles bled."Do not involve her without my approval." His chest tightened as if every breath he had denied for months now came crashing back. Eight months. She had been under his roof, working in his empire, walking his halls — and he hadn’t known. His silence broke. He turned sharply, coat flaring, eyes ablaze. “Details,” he growled. “Now.” Rehan nodded, already scrambling. He turned toward the door, voice razor-sharp as he issued his command: “Keep him waiting(Adi pointed towards Saad). His contract is frozen until I decide. Not a word leaves this room. And Rehan…” He paused. Rehan stood rigid. “Yes, sir?” Adi’s voice dropped, raw and commanding. “Bring me everything. Every detail about her. Where she works. Which floor. Which desk. Now.” “Yes, sir.” And without another glance, Adi stormed out.
