Another Dimension
Stars surround the farmhouse where I’ve grown up with Rion. The rooms are all so familiar to me—places where I did my exploring, plotting how to defeat Skutt, the school bully, and dreaming about Eden, my crush—but nothing feels normal anymore. I can’t even think about school. Now, the house floats like a space station, revolving in another dimension. Inside the familiar rooms, great minds are at work. In this dimension, the ghosts of Einstein, Sir Richard, and Buckland, who discovered the dinosaurs, all live on.
I gesture to Einstein, saying, “You’re right! I know for a fact that the Mantoid use dark energy.”
