Mutation Marine
Alex cries, “That girl—we’ve got to help her! Mani, you shot a girl.”
The Mantoid switches its attention to Ruby, its jaws gaping.
“That thing’s gonna eat her alive,” cries Travis.
“Mani, do something quickly!” shouts Alex.
Ruby stumbles to her feet, shouting, “Don’t shoot!” She sprints for her life, but her feet swiftly leave the ground. She flies backward toward the Mantoid’s maw just as Mani aero-boots in her direction. She grabs Ruby in midair, blasting her back to safety.
“Quick, Master Jones. I have her.”
Alex points. “There, let’s take cover in that building!”
They sprint to an open fire exit and run inside.
Travis slams it behind them, plunging them into darkness as the Mantoid roars outside.
