Vivian's Trick

892 Words
(Adrian’s POV) As I headed to the restaurant where Eleanor was waiting, my phone buzzed with an incoming call from Vivian. Her name flashed on the screen, and I impatiently declined the call. Yes, Vivian was my new fling. I first noticed her last week at a club party celebrating a friend’s birthday. She had a delicate, doll-like face and an undeniably attractive figure. Throughout the party, she kept finding ways to catch my attention, always staying within my line of sight. As I expected, the next day, I “coincidentally” ran into her at the café downstairs in my office building. On that day, she was wearing a business suit that emphasized her curves, with flawless makeup on her face. She pretended to be surprised when she saw me. I knew right away that this was likely a planned encounter. I’d seen this kind of setup countless times before, but I had to admit—Vivian was truly beautiful. There was something about her eyes and her body language that was both seductive and flattering. With her intentional flirting, I ended up inviting her to my office, and everything that happened after felt almost inevitable. But now, with my mind focused on the conversation I was about to have with Eleanor, I couldn’t be bothered with anything else. “Vivian’s just like the others—always trying to get more,” I thought, annoyed, as I ignored her second call. But when the third and fourth calls came in quick succession, I answered, growing increasingly irritated, wondering what trick she was playing this time. “Hey, Adrian,” she said, her voice not the flirtatious tone I expected but filled with panic. “You finally answered. Can you help me? I’ve been in a car accident…” I was caught off guard as she continued, “Someone hit my car, but they’re being really aggressive. I’m so scared. Can you please come? I don’t know who else to ask…” Her voice was choked with helplessness, and I could almost picture her tear-filled eyes and pitying face. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. Tell me where you are, and I’ll come right away!” I quickly responded, instructing my driver to change directions. A wave of guilt washed over me for doubting her. How could I have thought Vivian was just like the others? When I arrived at the scene, it wasn’t as bad as I had thought. Vivian’s car was only slightly damaged, and she was clearly more shaken than hurt. She clung to me like I was her protector. “Adrian, I’m so scared,” she said, gripping my hands tightly, her big, watery eyes full of helplessness. I wiped the tears from her eyes, feeling a rush of satisfaction from the way she needed me. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything,” I reassured her. I quickly took control of the situation, leaving my driver to handle the rest. Vivian leaned in and whispered, “Thank you, Adrian. I don’t know what I’d do without you.” I stroked her head, feeling even more satisfied. Vivian always knew how to please me. She easily brought out my protective instincts. Unlike Vivian, Eleanor never showed weakness. She always kept a strong front, even with me. While I appreciated her maturity, admittedly, it was a bit dull at times. At that moment, I suddenly remembered something important. I took out my phone and saw several missed calls—all from Eleanor. A pang of guilt hit me. I had completely forgotten about our plans. I was supposed to tell Eleanor something important and make up for being absent the past week, but Vivian’s call had disrupted everything. I wanted to call Eleanor back and explain the emergency, but I realized that Vivian was right next to me, and I didn’t want Eleanor to know about what had happened between me and Vivian. So, I quickly sent Eleanor a message while Vivian wasn’t paying attention, deciding to meet Eleanor after dropping Vivian off at her apartment. “I can only drop you off here, Vivian,” I said as we arrived at her apartment building. “I really have something to do. I have—” Before I could finish, she pulled me close, kissing me passionately. Her warm, soft body pressed against mine, and I could feel the heat between us. Her hands tangled in my hair, and she moaned softly as our lips moved together. “Adrian, please,” she whispered between kisses, her voice full of longing. “Just stay with me tonight. I miss you so much…” Her touch was electric, igniting a fire I couldn’t ignore. Caught up in the moment, I couldn’t resist her. Her kisses were both tender and fiery, and I felt myself giving in, unable to pull away. Finally, I let her lead me inside her apartment. Later, when I came back to my senses, it was already night, and the restaurant where I was supposed to meet Eleanor was closed. I called Eleanor while Vivian was in the shower, but she didn’t answer. “She must have boarded the plane already,” I thought. Just then, Vivian’s voice called out from the bathroom, asking me to grab her a towel. I stepped forward, once again forgetting all about Eleanor.
