The leaker wasn't on the plane. It was worse. Adrian's security dragged a girl off the plane. 20 years old. Crying. "She sent the files from your laptop, Mr. Cole," the guard said. "My laptop?" I whispered. Adrian turned to me. Slowly. His eyes were no longer cold. They were furious. "Explain." My mouth went dry. I didn't do it. I swear I didn't. But the evidence was on my laptop. Files I never saw. "Someone framed me," I said. My voice shook. "Adrian, please--" "Don't say my name." The words cut deeper than any knife. He walked to the window. Back to me. "Contract says I can divorce you anytime if you betray the company." Betray. That was the word that broke me. "I didn't--" "Then who did?" He spun around. "Who hates me enough to do this?" And in that moment I realized. It wasn't me. It was someone inside his company. Someone who knew about our marriage. Someone who wanted us to destroy each other. My phone buzzed in my pocket. Unknown number. A text: `You were supposed to ruin him. Not fall for him. - A friend` A friend? I looked up. Adrian was watching me. "Who texted you?" he asked. I hid my phone. "No one." I just lied to my husband. Again.
