Chapter 21
There was an old adage about a day of reckoning that humans often used, and Layne knew that day had come for Dylan. He thought about the phone call Captain Laveaux had received earlier and how the Captain asked Mick to open a portal for the regents to enter. At that moment, Layne realized a painful truth.
The Regency was coming for his brother.
It may have taken three months to get them there, but at least The Regency had found enough proof to detain Dylan. It relieved Layne to know he wouldn’t have to worry about his brother attacking them again. Still, he hated the fact that no one, including him, could break through to Dylan. They had failed every attempt to convert him back to the path of light.
