Layne wasn’t sure if it was irony or stupidity that led them back to the safe house in Kentucky, but it’s where Nicholas had Mick transport everyone they found. The irony came into play because the safe house was the place Heaven gave birth to Adalyn almost one year ago. The stupidity stemmed from his father-in-law’s decision to bring people to a secret location. This was the one place The Fallen had never found them. Why would he bring everyone here, of all places, especially after Bo’s men could track them through the portal?
