Hazel had ran upstairs immediately after her little encounter with Austin . The way Austin told her to stay away from the basement felt more like a threat and it is making Hazel curious about what exactly is in the basement that Austin is trying to protect.
Austin hadn't asked her to have lunch with him instead he told her to order some take out food as he went out somewhere. Hazel didn't want to be a nosy wife who asks her husband about his each and every whereabouts but sometimes she really want to ask him about his personal life.
