Confidence

Being Confident is worthy to emulate! (Title) I have this sense of lowliness. I can't do that. I don't want to try for others may laugh at me. You can actually here these statements from your peers or even your inner self whenever confidence hides within your soul. Learning and satisfying our curiosity are two of the best keys for us to transcend in life. We learn from experience and use all of those towards achieving a better version of ourselves. We need to go outside from our comfort zone and try new things for us to measure our strengths and weaknesses. But, how can we do those things if we are afraid to fail? How can we learn and discover something if we are afraid to be in an embarassing situation? Self-confidence, as defined by the University of Queensland, Australia- Student Services, is the belief of oneself and abilities and describes an internal state made up of what we think and feel about ourselves. This has been a great issue experienced by many especially the youth, most specifically the students who feels not confident with themselves or termed as lack of self-confidence. We're afraid to raise our hands in class because we do not know how to trust our instincts. We are afraid to tell our crush about our feeling because we don't want to be ignored. We don't want to share something to our fellows because we're frightened on how melancholic rejection is. We're afraid to do something because we're all pessimists thinking that everything that we're doing will produce negative outcome. However, have we ever ask ourselves these questions: What if I try to do this for me to be criticized and learn something significant? What if I confront my crush and confess her that I have this intimate feeling towards her, that I have fallen for her? Do you know the secret on how to achieve self-cofidence? Capital T-R-U-S-T! First, trust your surroundings, your environment. We need to instill to our minds that not all people will judge us. Think on the positive side. Consider those people who are interested in knowing your stand or in whatever you do more than those you think have prejudices on whatever you want to do. Next, trust yourself! Your instincts are important. They may not all be righteous at all times, however, how will you know if they are if someone won't told you so. Constructive criticisms help us most of the time. We should not care on what will other say about us 'cause we know ourselves better than they do. As long as we're not hurting someone, then, we're still on the right track. Above all, trust God! Believe that He has given us individually great gifts for us to hone and develop. He created us all perfectly in His eyes. Lack of self-confidence, if not resolved , will bring us to live with a colorless life. Like a stagnant water in the holes of the road, we won't be able to move and achieve the best version of ourselves. So, if I were you, tell your crush that you idolize her, tell and show your loved ones that you care for her! Let's all say "crush sana maging akin ka someday!" Have self-confidence not tomorrow but starting right now! We need to believe in our capacity to keep transcending. For once we transcend, our story will be worthy of emulation! Thank you.
