Life's Changing

It all fades to black. Total darkness. I see this beautiful white wolf with crystal blue eyes and a blue tip on the tail. The wolf started talking to me, “Hello, Rae. My name’s Blue. I’m your inner wolf and this is my coat. Ya like?” OMG I love it! “You look beautiful, Blue!” She smiles like a little kid on christmas. She prances around like she won the lottery. “So, Raelynne, are you ready?” Ready? For what? “Let’s go.” She takes my shirt and walks me to a pond with crystal blue water. I look up and see a woman in white. “Hello, Raelynne. Don’t be scared, in the real world you are perfectly fine.” She shows me that I’m laying in Connor’s bed, with Connor right next to me talking to, what looks like, the packs doctor. “Let’s get started, shall we?” 

“First, I know you have a lot of questions. To begin, my name is Goddess Availia. The first of all Luna’s. And you, my dear, are one of many like yourself. But the first tribrid to be Luna.” Luna? “What's Luna, goddess?” She proceeds to tell me that Luna’s are paired to an Alpha, they take over for a specific pack. A mate is a once in a lifetime pairing and only very few get second chance mates, those are rare and happen every 100 years or so, she says. “My dear, you are special. You are half witch and wolf. The reason for your wolf's color is because of your witch nature. The blue represents purity, and also  her name. Haha.” She laughs at herself.”I chose to pair you with young Alpha Connor, because you both can grow together. He will do anything to protect you. Any dangers, he’s right by your side fighting them with you and you with him. It’s a unique pairing, I must add.”

She drones on and on about me and Connor being perfect for each other. “I understand that this may be boring but everything I’m telling you is important in each way. Listen carefully Rae, a great evil will be coming to hunt you and try to take your witches powers and make you impure. You must fight this evil off. With the help of your brother, Connor’s brother, and your sister.” She must have seen my surprise at the word sister. “Yes, child, you have a sister. She’s still in this pack you’re with now. She knows who you and your brother are. They have hidden her away from your father because of his tendencies to harm people. You were born after your mother fled, so in that, she left your older sister to stay here and become the greatest warrior to protect you. She comes back every now and then to check on her with your brother. They’re twins, because that key is important too. They are the warrior twins, very powerful my dear. They already know everything to protect you with.” 

This is all new to me. I can’t comprehend anything like this. It’s beyond bizarre. “But Skylar hates me. How’s that supposed to work?” I question her. “See my dear, your brother has his own troubles. He kept space between you so he wouldn’t tell you who and what he was until you came of age. And for a great purpose too. Now, it’s time to wake up. I know you have questions, in all due time I will answer.” When she says this I try to cut her off to ask questions. But instead, I’m waking up in Connor’s arms. “Oh my goodness. Rae, you’re awake.” Connor hugs me like I’ve been gone for years. “You don’t know how worried I was when you wouldn’t wake up.” I look at him puzzled. He must see the confusion on my face. “You’ve been asleep for a few days.”

“Wow, really?” I question. He shakes his head yes. “So, are you okay? You’re not hurt?” I’m shaking my head yes and laughing at how worried he looks. It’s cute that he cares this much about me. “I’m sorry I worried everybody, but I need to find my mother. Can you ask her to come here?” It’s as if she knew I was asking for her, because she walks right in the door. “Hello sweetie. How are you feeling?” 

“I’m fine momma. But, I have a sister?” She looks taken back at my question. “Honey, your sister, Mariella, is in the hall. I’m so sorry that I didn’t tell you that you had a sister.” I walk over to her and hug her, “It’s ok momma. I know what you did was because you needed to. I don’t hold any of that against you. I know who and what I am and hopefully I can work on my powers to become a great Luna to this pack. Assuming that Connor wants me as his Luna.” I look over to him and he’s smiling like a child that got told he can run in the candy store and pick his favorite candies. I shake my head at him and laugh. “I’m sorry that you’ve had to go through this mom. But now, we are in a better place. Dad can’t harm us here.”

Or so I thought.
