CHAPTER 3: THE BRIDE; SOLD TO MARRIAGE.
AMBER'S POV.
I opened the door. Everywhere was different from how I left the house.
I stood still at the entrance, wanting to be sure if I was actually seeing well.
“Mum, where did all these gifts come from? These are expensive; who brought them?”
I knew nobody in my house could afford that. I need to ask.
I looked at my mum, who sat like she never heard me speak. This is so unlike her.
She looked so pale; her thin collarbones were more visible. She looked frustrated and tired.
I rushed towards her. She was my best friend and I felt my heart burning. I never like to see her this way.
“Mum, did he beat you again?” I looked back at my dad with dangerous eyes.
“Your dad didn't beat me.” She walked closer and hugged me so tight, which actually got me more confused.
“ Mum, please, you're making me scared. Did anything happen? Where is my sister? "
I looked around and saw Lynda sitting on the floor. She was shedding tears.
I looked back at my dad. He sat down confidently on the chair, smoking his long tobacco with a lot of expensive bottles of empty drinks on the table.
I'm getting out of my mind, so I screamed with anger.
“ Lynda!!!!!! Mum !!!!!!!!! Dad !!!!!! , somebody should please say something, I'm going crazy."
“ Amber…… (my mum's voice came out softly) all of these gifts come from the BE…AST….(She burst into tears) He wants to marry you.
What !!!!!! ” I didn't know when I screamed. I stood still, my feet were trembling on the floor.
Many stories or rumors have been heard about Alpha Lucien which made everyone conclude he is a BEAST.
According to what I heard, he had lived for over 1000 years alongside two members of his family, which is actually above our durability, 1000 years!!!
As a wolf, anytime we kill a fellow wolf, the wolf's soul, ability, pain, and years to live are taken away from the wolf and then the murderer gets them all.
But it's a very difficult task to achieve; all wolves have different supernatural abilities.
It is not easy to kill a fellow wolf. Even if a wolf finally achieves it.
The pain that will await the wolf is more than the pain of death.
He will suffer headaches for years because it will take years for his body to adapt to the new being.
But if the wolf is very strong, he will not feel any pain, or probably just a little pain, the murdered wolf usually feels when he is alive.
Alpha Beast must be very strong. I don't think he will feel pain anymore whenever he kills.
He kills wolves every night and sometimes during the day also.
He is such a weirdo, a wicked creature. I even heard he was cursed at birth, he doesn't have a mate.
No lady had ever agreed to be his mate, but he usually forced them to his chamber.
“Hurrggh,” I felt a sharp pain in my head.
“ Mum please, I don't want to marry a BEAST, I don't want to. ”
I felt my eyes rolling faintly and slipped on the scrambled floor from exhaustion.
My mum and Lynda rushed towards me and held my trembling body.
“ You don't have a choice, my dear. Your father agreed you would marry him, so they brought these huge gifts.
My mum replied to me pitifully.
These words infuriated me more. I slammed my palm on the tiles, and they shattered immediately.
My eyes grew bigger; it was all bloody, and I wanted to devour this man. I growled out of anger.
“ Dad, you are just too wicked. You agreed to marry a BEAST on my behalf, without seeking my consent….
My choice doesn't matter to you, do you hate me that much? What did I do to you to deserve all this ill-treatment…
You never treated me nicely, not even once. What kind of father are you? ”
I shouted angrily at my father for the first time.
“Will you shut up that mouth, you little brat, how dare you challenge my decision, hhhuunn?”
He snapped back at me. “ You don't have a choice, you have to obey whatever I instruct you……
“ In case you don't know, I doubt if I'm your father…… (he chuckled wickedly).
“ Because I can never have a daughter who is as useless as you, wolf less and powerless.
You are a disgrace and a disaster to me. You have eaten enough of my food, you're getting married to the BEAST today! !!!! ”
He shouted at me angrily, he burned with fury. I'm sure he is never going to change his mind.
I decided to stand up for myself even if it's this once.
“ No dad, I will not obey you this time, I never will !!!! All you care about is these gifts, you just want to have them.
" You are just too selfish, "I stood up, facing him confidently.
He laughed out loud,“ It's not just an expensive gift I requested, I got a lot of money also.”
He brought out a huge traveling bag, he unzipped it. Ohhh, it was full of money.
“I'm rich now. I prefer all these to you, they're worth more than you.”
He spoke majestically and laughed happily while I got more hurt.
“ Dad, you sold your daughter, you sold me to the BEAST. ” My watery eyes pierced him.
He stood up angrily and dragged my mum to her feet, he landed two heavy punches on her left eye.
My mum growled out of my pain.
“Oh I see, is this how you raised a daughter? eehhn, you raised her to disrespect me and talk back at me huuhnnn”
He raised a heavy punch at my mum's left eye again. I rushed and held his hand, and I stopped it.
“How dare you obstruct me!!!!”
He bounced at me instead and I truly regretted my actions.
Five consecutive blows landed on my eyes. Assuming a little ability, I'm sure I wouldn't feel so much agony.
My eyes got blurred immediately, the only thing I could see was my grandma and Grandpa, who had been dead fo
r a long time.
They called me “Amber, Amber”. Their voices were soft and peaceful. I ran to meet them.
I passed out.
