The second I walked in, the whole room went dead silent.
My best friend, Chloe, jumped to her feet immediately, beaming as she pulled me over to an empty seat.
"Lily! Long time no see! You haven't changed one bit since back in the day!" With that, she glanced around the room, huffing with annoyance as she spoke up again. "What's up? Why did you all stop running your mouths? The campus queen is the campus queen, alright. Even at thirty, she looks younger than all of you did at twenty. That's gotta sting, right?"
A small smile tugged at the corner of my mouth as I looked at all those old classmates who had just been waiting to see me make a fool of myself.
