The slap I landed on Sean's face sobered him up from most of his drunken haze immediately. He slumped down against the corner of the wall, his face etched with dazed despair. "Lily, how did things end up like this? I... I never actually wanted to divorce you back then. I just wanted you to see how hard life is for a single woman, so you'd come crawling back to me.
