GABRIELLA'S POV

It had been two weeks since we came here. The company had a steady rise to success after we published the first article on Adam Wagner's lifestyle check, which got a million views in the first twenty-four hours.

It took about a month to finish a lifestyle check. I couldn't wait to leave this house. 𝘛𝘸𝘰 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵.

Adam Wagner slowly became a part of my mind. I saw him everywhere, besides the point that this was his house. I thought about him, at an alarming rate that made me do questionable things to myself

Today, was one of those many days where he left the house and came back at questionable hours of the night but he was the owner of one of the most successful companies in the country so it was understandable.

Ria had grown fond of Adam-too fond. She liked him, more than needed to for a journalist on a job, but I was the last person to judge, my thoughts about him weren't the cleanest.

Her advances had yet to reach the advancee, he brushed her off most of the time. Her short skirts and see-through shirts didn't make him glance at her. He looked at me though, his burning gaze always makes me shiver and also turns me on.

Ria and I went into the city, well she forced me to come with her. The city irked me, the noise, and the people, all made me sick but now it was evening, and the sun was going back leaving a soft yellow and red glow for the moon to engulf in its dimness.

Ria needed to make one last stop at the pharmaceutical shop. We entered the white building- the only still-lit building on the street which was very odd for a pharmacy.

A tall good-looking man stood behind the glass table, a creepy smile on his face. '' Evening ladies''he greeted, tapping his long fingernails on the table. ''One ox please'' she mumbled. Ox? An aphrodisiac. My eyes widened, she was going to use an aphrodisiac on Adam. 𝘊𝘳𝘢𝘻𝘺 𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩.

''Ox would be good, but I would recommend this'' He brought out a purple liquid from under the table. Ria smiled ''The stronger the better'' she mumbled under her breath as she paid.''Yes, the stronger is the better'' he added in a silvery voice, his creepy smile still on his face.

"𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘩𝘦𝘳," a voice in my head said.

''Thank you'' She accepted the bottle, shoving it into her purse quickly before anyone saw her.

𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘸! ''Ria wait'' I grabbed her arm. She looked at me, impatience visible on her face. ''You can't do this to Adam''she rolled her eyes. ''Just shut up Ella, and do what you're best known for, shutting the f**k up'' She jerked her arm from my grip and walked out. I stared at her back as she strode out of the shop.

''There's nothing you can do" he grinned "Destruction always comes on them that invite it'' the man added, adjusting his lab coat. ''Have a great evening'' he said as I walked into the back room of the building. There was something off about him. The way he smiled and the excitement in his eyes as Ria, walked out with the purple liquid shoved in her purse, he looked almost not human.

I stood in the shop, contemplating what to do when another man in a lab coat come out from the back door. He looked dizzy, colour drained from his face like he had seen something scary. "What happened" he groaned, holding his head.

"Please, could you call your partner, he sold my friend a drug and I want to know what is in it"I demanded, he looked at me confused, he probably didn't understand the way words came out of my throat. "What are you talking about lady? I'm the only one who works here" he explained, walking towards the back room.

I stared at him confused. So who was the man who sold Ria that drug?
