GABRIELLA

My body trembled. My voice caught in my throat. It growled at me again. My brain couldn't process what to do so my legs did. I ran into the bushes, leading into the forest behind the estate. ''Ella''I heard my dad yell from behind. I quickened my pace, too afraid to look back but I knew it was behind me. I heard it growl. Tears streamed down my face as I ran.

''Ella'' someone called out. 𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘮𝘦. It growled again chasing behind me. ''You can't outrun him''. I fell, my legs giving out as I landed on the ground with a thud. It stood in front of me, its eyes darker than before. ''Please''I cried. It moved closer, towering over me. I screamed, darkness slowly spreading around. My head was heavy, I felt its breath on my neck. I bit down on my lips, expecting a sharp pain that would paralyze my body.

''Ella, wake up!''I jolted awake, sweat dripping from the back of my neck. ''Ella!'' I looked around the room for the source of the voice. I stood up from the bed, heat spreading across my body, ''Adam is in danger'' it said again. ''Where are you'' I pushed out from my throat, my eyes scanned the room looking for the owner of the voice, except, the voice wasn't coming from the room, 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘮𝘦. ''Ella, you need to help him, go!''.

I struggled to process what the voice was saying. A sharp pain spread through my body, I dropped to my knees holding my chest. ''Ella, you need to go now!'' I groaned, struggling to get on my feet. I held the bed for support, standing up to my feet. I scurried to the door, yanking it open.

Staggering to the end of the hall I approached the living room. 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘦 blarred through the speakers. The head maid stood in the centre cleaning the white table. She glanced to the side, the smile immediately dying down when she saw the state I was in. ''Miss Ella'' she shouted. ''Ella go!'' the voice in my head yelled.

''Where's Adam!'' I demanded, she approached me, worry on her face''Miss Ella, what's wrong''She questioned, holding my back. My chest tightened, and I groaned, taking in deep breaths ''Where's he'' I barked, clenching my teeth as I staggered forward. ''He's upstairs'' She replied, letting go of me after giving me a meaningful look.

I climbed the stairs, holding the railings for support. What the f**k was going on?

I staggered to the end of the hall, approaching the double doors at the end of it. ''Argh''I heard him groan. I leaped forward, pushing the doors open. Adam was on the floor, he clenched his chest. ''Adam'' I yelped, he looked up at me, his lips were darkening. ''Ella''He managed to push out.

I scurried forward, ''What happened'' I scanned his clothes for blood or a bleeding spot but there was nothing. ''Urgh''He groaned, closing his eyes trying to steady his breathing. ''Let me get help'' He grabbed my arm, dragging me back down. He breathed out heavily. His blue eyes turned into a darker shade, ''You are the help'' He pushed me down, burying his teeth into my neck.

I screamed, an undescribable feeling flowing through me. My eyes widened, I thought my pupils had split. He grunted, pushing his teeth further down, I gasped as I felt myself awaken, something in me had woken up. I felt power fill my body, I buried my fingers into his bare back, closing my eyes as I felt him drain me.
