“This is taking too long. They were supposed to be in and out,” Liane nervously paced down the back alley, two blocks away, that ran adjacent to the building where she had dropped Kristina, Faith and Luke.
“I told you I should have stayed with them,” she protested, growling a little at her mate for his over-protectiveness.
“You are pregnant, I only agreed to you doing this because they needed your help. There was no way I was going to allow you to stay in there,” Marcus growled back, hating that his mate did not see the bigger picture.
“I know,” Liane sighed, and offered him a soft look. Marcus was always extremely protective over her, after everything that had happened back at Montseny before the last major war.
