Chapter 4

Sage's POV

I was a nervous wreck. I was probably as nervous as Simone was. Unlike my brothers, I was still a virgin. I know its rare for male wolves to stay a virgin for as long as I have but I felt that my first time and everything after should be with my mate. 

I was the romantic one of us three while Sebastian was the flirt. He's slept with way too many she-wolves and flirted with them all on a regular basis. I just hope all of that meaningless s*x doesn't catch up to him and ruin things for all of us. Silas had his last relationship right before our 18th birthday. He was pissed when his longtime girlfriend turned out not to be our mate. I was happy because I couldn't stand her. All she cared about was the title. After that his only focus was pack business and finding our mate. She-wolves tried to get into his bed all of the time but he denied all of them.

We had been to countless mating balls to only leave without our mate. We went to Halfmoon Pack tonight to discuss an alliance but instead ended up leaving with our mate. I was over the moon. 

I wanted to take things slow for her but my body was begging for skin contact. I needed to feel her body against mines. I've waited 21 years for the one made for me.

Simone walked out of the bathroom and Beast immediately tried to get out. I felt my d**k begin to harden at the sight of her. How could she make a t-shirt look so sexy. "Calm down Beast. I don't want to scare her," I told my wolf. The smell of her arousal hit me and I closed my eyes taking in her scent. She smelled so f*cking good.

I finally calmed Beast down but before any of us could say anything, Simone ran into the bathroom and closed the door. 

"Damn, we f****d up," Silas said looking distraught. "Havoc wouldn't calm down."

"I could smell her arousal. Midnight kept telling me to mark her," Sebastian chimed in.

"Beast wanted out too." I walked over to the bathroom door. "We're sorry Simone. We'll try to get better control of our wolves."

The bathroom door opened and she walked out trying not to look at us. Her cheeks were still red. Was she embarrassed? 

"It wasn't your fault. It was mines," she said still trying not to look at us. "I've never been alone with any men before."

"We can make you feel good," Sebastian said while walking over to her making her cheeks pinker.

"Bas chill," Silas yelled at him making Simone giggle.

"Can we all just go to bed. I think we all need to try to control ourselves and our wolves," she said finally looking up at us. "Mines is going a bit crazy in my head." Her eyes went black then back to her gray. "I just got her so it's still taking some getting used to."

Simone's POV

After finally calming myself down and coming back out of the bathroom, I talked to my mates and we were heading to bed.

"So how are we going to do this?" Sage asked. "Of course Simone sleeps in the middle but who gets to sleep next to her?"

"I want to sleep next to her," Sebastian called out first making me laugh. I climbed onto the bed while they figured things out. I didn't want to have to be the one to choose. I'm sure they could switch up some nights. Just thinking about them in bed with me made my body heat up. I could feel my panties begin to dampen again. Oh no not again. Before I could move, Sebastian was beside me with his face in my neck.

"If you keep doing that, I won't be able to control myself," he whispered in my ear making be even wetter.

"I'm...I'm sorry," I stuttered. "Just let them touch you," Storm told me. "Start slow."  I know how badly Storm wanted me mate and mark them as ours so I was both surprised and relieved that she was telling me to take my time. I was having a hard time controlling my body and I guess she could tell that I was nervous.

"You don't have to be sorry mate," Silas sat on the other side of me. "We just have to learn some self control no matter how intoxicating your scent is."

I cleared my throat. "So I guess Sebastian and Silas are sleeping next to me?" I asked. "What about Sage?"

"I'll sleep near the bottom, close to these beautiful legs," he answered making me blush again.

I moved closer to the top of the bed and laid on the pillows. This mattress was so perfect. Sebastian laid behind me taking his arm under mines while Silas laid facing me with his arm wrapped around my waist. After turning out the light, Sage grabbed a blanket and laid near the foot of the bed but close enough to us so that he could rest his hand on my legs.

I was surrounded by their scents and falling to sleep was easier than it had ever been before.

Silas' POV

They were all asleep but I couldn't stop looking at her beautiful face. I knew I should be getting some sleep because tomorrow would definitely be a busy day but I felt like if I fell asleep, I would wake up and she would be just a dream. 

Suddenly Simone began to shift and pull me closer to her. She was still sleeping. I kept my arm around her waist and took in her scent causing my erection to grow against her. I froze hoping she wouldn't feel it. She let out a moan in her sleep making my erection grow. I kissed her forehead and closed my eyes drifting off into the most peaceful sleep that I had in a very long time.

Kaleb's POV

The party was amazing but I couldn't focus. My wolf wouldn't stop whimpering ever since I rejected Simone. I don't know what he was so upset about. I understand she was supposed to be our mate but she was just an omega. She wasn't good enough for us. "Not an omega," my wolf growled at me. I couldn't stand to listen to his complaining anymore. I put up a wall blocking him so I could try to enjoy the rest of the party. 

"You OK man," Jason came over to me and sat down.

"I need a drink man." I waved over a server. "My wolf has been driving me crazy all day. I finally had to block him out. Any luck finding your mate?"

"No, she's not here. But I'll find her. Hopefully she's worthy of being Luna." He stopped and looked at me. "How are you holding up though? I know you've been waiting forever to find your mate."

He was right. I couldn't wait to find my mate. I was still pissed that Simone had turned out to be my mate. I don't understand how I could be paired with her. I just hope I get a second chance mate and the moon goddess gets it right.

"How about we go out for a run," Jason suggested. "The party will be over soon."

"Yeah man definitely.  Maybe that'll calm my wolf down."

We got up and headed out so we go go for a much needed run. I put my block down. "You ready to run Basil?" I asked my wolf. "Not until you apologize to mate." What? Is he crazy. I stripped down and tried to shift but he fought me on it. I never heard of a wolf refusing to shift.

"I can't shift man," I called out to Jason. I tried to shift again. "Stop fighting me Basil and shift." Silence. Now he was ignoring me. I kept trying but I couldn't shift. Frustrated, I put my clothes back on. 'You go ahead and run. I'm going to head inside and get some sleep."

"What's going on with you." Jason started putting his clothes back on. "Why can't you shift?"

"My f*cking wolf. He said he's not shifting until I go to Simone."

"We should talk to my dad about it. Let's go get some sleep and we'll talk to him in the morning. We take over in a few months and we don't need your wolf messing anything up."

We headed to the packhouse and parted ways once we got to our floors. I showered and got into my bed but I couldn't fall asleep. I tossed and turned the whole night. I don't understand why my wolf was so attached to Simone. She was just an omega. Even worse, she was the daughter of those traitors that killed my parents.

I laid in bed thinking about my mom and dad. I wish that they could be here to see me take the Beta position. But because of Simone's parents, they weren't here to see me. My mother only lasted three years after my father was killed. I was young but I watched as the light in her eyes dulled. I saw how much she and my father loved each other. I always wanted a love like that. When my mate's scent hit me I thought I would finally get that type of love until I realized it was Simone. How could I love her? I would be spitting on my parents' memory if I accepted her as my mate. I hated her.

Now I had to deal with my wolf being an as*hole. All he did was whimper and talk sh*t to me about rejecting Simone. And now he fought me when I tried to shift.

I had finally drifted off to sleep when the sound of my alarm clock woke me up. I silenced it but before I could go back to sleep Jason walked into my room.

"Time to get up man. My dad wants to meet us in an hour. I've been trying to link you."

I groaned. "I need sleep man. I was up all night."

"Sleep later. Right now you need to get ready for this meeting. Meet me in my dad's office in an hour."

I reluctantly got out of my bed and prepared for the meeting. I knew we had a meeting for today and I wanted to talk to the Alpha about my wolf but I was tired from my lack of sleep. Hopefully some coffee will help wake me up a little more.

I ran downstairs to grab some coffee before heading to the meeting. The usual smell of breakfast and fresh coffee didn't hit me when I got to the kitchen. The kitchen was empty and there was no food made at all. There wasn't even any coffee made. Where the hell was Simone? She usually had breakfast ready by the time everyone got up. I walked over to the coffee pot but changed my mind at attempting to make coffee. I didn't even know how to use it.

"Get up here man," Jason linked me.

I wanted to bust into Simone's room to find out why breakfast hadn't been made but I had to run up to this meeting. 

"I'm on my way man. Have you seen Simone? There's no food in the kitchen," I linked him back.

"Just get up here."

I got to the Alpha's office and took a seat. As expected, the current Gamma and his son Nicholas was there. Nicholas turned 18 before Jason and I did. He had already stated his training with his dad and was just waiting for us. I was hoping to get there before them so I could discuss my issue with Alpha Daniel but I guess I'll just wait until after the meeting.

"Have any of you seen Simone?" Alpha Daniel asked looking at us.

"Not since yesterday," Jason answered.

"I didn't see her at the party yesterday and she knows she was supposed to be there serving. Plus breakfast and coffee for this meeting isn't here either," Alpha Daniel said.

"Actually Alpha." I cleared my throat. "There's no breakfast downstairs either. The kitchen was completely empty." As weird as it was I knew this wasn't like Simone. Breakfast was always there for us in the morning. She knew not following through with her duties would result in a punishment for her. 

The Alpha looked both confused and angry by my words. I saw him trying to link someone and get frustrated afterwards. "I have another omega bringing up some food for us. I'll deal with Simone after our meeting."

The meeting wasn't as long as I thought it would be. We spent 2 hours discussing what we would do during our training and a few alliances were were working on building. Before the meeting was over we spoke about a few mating balls that were coming up that would increase our chances of finding our mates.

I was happy about the possibility of finding my second chance mate but Basil growling and pacing in my head cut my happiness short.
