Her 3 Alpha Mates

Chapter 10

Kaleb's POV

"How could you let her get away?!"

Alpha Daniel was pissed of and screaming. Two of our warriors had seen Simone in the mall today but came back without her.

"She was with three other she-wolves and two warriors. They were protecting her? She's with a pack but they wouldn't say which one," Mike, the warrior that saw her said. "What do you want us to do Alpha?"

"It's not likely that she'll go back to the mall now that she's seen you. I'll think things over and let you know. You're dismissed." Alpha Daniel looked at Jason and I in deep thought.

"I've called a few packs and they all said they haven't seen any new she-wolves fitting her description. Obviously someone is lying. I'll call Silver Springs now to check with them. I have to call Dark Sky pack anyway about the alliance so I can ask them then," he told us. "Next week we have a few packs coming over to renew a few alliances and add some new ones. I doubt she's with an of them due to the distance but I'll have them keep a look out for her."

"We're hoping to speak to one of the witches at Silver Springs Pack about helping with Kaleb's wolf," Jason told his dad.

"Dark Sky Pack has a few witches also. We can see if they could help us also just in case Silver Springs pack can't help," Alpha Daniel said. "If Simone really is related to Silver Springs Alpha I doubt they would want to help the mate that rejected her." He looked at me.

"Then we should try getting their help before they find anything out," I told them. "What if the witches can't help?" I asked. "What if I actually have to keep her as my mate in order to help my wolf?"

"To be Beta you need your wolf," Alpha Daniel looked at me. "You are weak without your wolf. If you want to be Beta and mating with Simone is all that will bring your wolf back then that is what you'll have to do."

"So you're telling me if the witches can't help me then I have to take Simone as my mate..."

"Or Jason will be finding another beta," Alpha Daniel finished and walked out.

Veronica's POV

After the fiasco with Simone at the mall, I decided to go over to my house to see my parents. I was still jealous about seeing her with the triplets so I needed to get away from them for a little while. Skyler wanted me to go to the spa with them but helping Simone get ready to mate with the Alphas that I wanted wasn't my idea of a good time.

I did want to know what was going on and why those guys wanted Simone so after eating dinner with my parents, I linked Skyler and told her we should meet for drinks.

Once we were all settled in Skyler's room, I immediately started talking.

"Ok, so which one of you wants to let me know what the hell that was all about today." I looked from Jessie to Skyler.

Skyler and Jessie looked at each other like they were deciding whether to tell me or not.

"What?" I asked. They were quiet for too long. 

"It's not really our place to tell you everything," Jessie said. "But what we can tell you is that Simone needs to be protected from her old pack. She had it really hard there. She was treated in ways that no one should be treated."

"I was with my brothers when we found her and it was bad," Skyler said. She stopped to take a drink. "We didn't even stay for the event we went over there for. We saw her and came straight back home."

"What is this about her having another mate?" I asked them. "A beta?

"Her first mate rejected her so my brothers are her second chance."

"And you're sure they're her mates?" I asked.

"Don't start your s**t Veronica," Jessie said. "She's their mate and you are not. Your mate is out there waiting for you."

"I was just asking that's all. I'm not trying to start anything." I put my hands up. I wasn't trying to start anything but the wheels were turning in my head. if her first mate was looking for her then maybe he regretted rejecting her and wanted her back. Maybe if he got her back, that would leave a window of opportunity for me to help the Alphas heal from losing her.

"What pack was she from?" I asked them.

"Halfmoon Pack," Skyler answered. Jessie looked at her giving her a look like she wasn't supposed to tell me. I wonder if I know anyone from that pack. How can I let them know where Simone is without causing any problems for myself?

Kaleb's POV

"I promise I will look for Simone and apologize if you work with me." 

I've been trying to talk to my wolf all night and he has been ignoring me. Telling him that I would apologize to Simone was my last option. I needed to shift. I needed to run. I know he needed it too. All of his whimpering was driving me crazy.

"You promise?" He asked me

"Yes but I can't get to her if I'm weak. And we can't run the pack without you."

"OK. Let's go run."

I ran outside and stripped down to shift. Since it was only my second time shifting, it was still pretty painful but running was exhilarating. I gave Basil control and let him run for as long as he wanted. I know that he needed it as much as I did.

After a few hours of running, Basil stopped and laid on the grass. "Mate," he whimpered as we started shifting back.

"Basil what's wrong?"

"Mate," he whimpers and went to the back of my mind.

"Basil?" He ignored me. Had something happened to Simone?

I ran back to the packhouse and grabbed some shorts from the pile of clothes we keep around for members after shifting. 

"Jason where are you?" I linked him

"Kitchen."

I went to the kitchen and he was sitting at the table eating a sandwich. I sat with him and the new kitchen omega Elizabeth brought me a sandwich and drink not long after I took my seat.

"What's up man?" Jason asked in between bites.

"Basil finally let me shift," I told him.

"For real?  That's great man. That means you can still be Beta and we don't need to find Simone."

"I think we still do," I told him. "Not to keep her as my mate but for Basil. I think something happened to her."

"Why do you think something happened to her?"

"We were running and Basil stopped and said mate. It was like he was crying out for her. He forced my body to shift back and all he said was mate. He's quiet again. We severed the mate bond so I don't understand why he still feels so strongly for her."

We were silent for a while thinking things over. We were just about to head to bed when Alpha Daniel stopped us.

"Silver Springs pack doesn't have anyone fitting Simone's description but I set up a meeting for us there next week to see their witch," he told us.

"Don't tell him I shifted," I linked Jason.

"Why?" He looked at me confused.

"Because I still want to see the witch just in case. I don't want to run the risk of Basil not letting me shift again."

"Ok dad. We're going to head to bed. We have training in the morning."

I headed to my room and jumped in the shower before heading to bed. I couldn't fall asleep which seemed to be my usual for the past few days. To my surprise, Basil said he wanted to run. Without any questions I headed out and gave his control letting him run free just as I did earlier. Whatever happened earlier maybe this is what he needed to relax him and maybe he would talk to me and let me know what it was.

The next morning I received an urgent call to the Alpha's office. Jason was there along with Alpha Daniel, Gamma David, his son Nicholas and a woman that I had never seen before. She didn't smell like a wolf. I looked around and everyone had a serious expression.

"What's going on?" I linked Jason

"I don't know."

"Gamma David brought some information to my attention that we all need to know about," Alpha Daniel started. "If this information is true, then getting Simone back here."

"What information?" I asked.

"May I Alpha?" The woman asked. He nodded his head giving her the ok.

"Hello Beta Kaleb. My name is Mariella," she said.

"You're not a wolf. What are you?" I asked.

"I am a witch. I've been told about your struggles with your would and the situation involving your mate. I believe that your mate may be the key to a prophecy from many years ago. It could be why your wolf is giving you such trouble."

"What prophecy?" I asked.

"Let me tell you all a bit of a story from many years ago. There was a witch named Mariana who was in love with a future Alpha of Silver Springs Pack. They dated for some time. When the young Alpha turned 18 he did not find his mate but he wanted to find her. Mariana hoped that she would be his mate. He told her that when he sis find his mate he would be with his mate. He tried to break things off with Mariana but she stayed around. As years passed and the young Alpha still didn't find his mate, Mariana held on to some hope that she would be his Luna.  He was 23 years old when he found his mate. His mate was Mariana's younger sister Celeste. Mariana was furious that her younger sister got the man she wanted to be her mate. She begged her sister to reject him but Celeste refused. growing up most of their lives around wolves, she understood how special the mate bond was to wolves. Furious that neither of them would reject each other, Mariana came up with a plan of her own. Mariana cast a spell on the family line that no one born from them would have access to their full abilities. Mariana and celeste came from a powerful witch family. Those born of Celeste and her mate would be powerful hybrids but Marian's spell affected that. Their mother found out what Mariana was up to and begged her to stop but Mariana was deep into dark magic. Her jealousy towards her sister and love for the young Alpha clouded her judgment. Unable to stop Marians, their mother got together with a few witches and formed a prophecy. The prophecy states that there will be one born of the family line, that will suffer a rough life, the loss of parents and many trials testing her heart and strength. To gain her powers and restore her family line she must be fully mated and marked by her mate. He mate must be good hearted as she is. Together their pack will be the strongest of packs. The Silver Springs family line will grow as it should've. I believe Simone is a member of the Alpha family of the Silver Springs Pack. She may be the one from the prophecy."

"How do you know all of this?" I asked her.

"Celeste and Mariana are my ancestors. The story had been told to many of us. My family grew up with the wolves of Silver Springs Pack. I know that our kinds don't usually work well together but Silver Springs has always been kind to witches for generations. My family has always worked well with them. I don't live there anymore. I left years ago for school but Gamma David reached out to me and told me what was going on I felt like I needed to be here. I think your wolf recognized how powerful Simone's wolf was even without her full powers and that is why he told you not to reject her and why he's been giving you a hard time."

"How do I fix it?" I asked. 

"You have two options. You can find Simone and apologize to her while taking back your rejection hoping that she forgives you. Or you can wait until you find your second chance mate or she find her second chance mate."

"We will find her," Alpha Daniel answered before I could say anything. "Is there anything you can do to help us find her?"

"Sorry, no there's nothing I could do about that. But you may want to consider that maybe she doesn't want to be found. And if she is she may not want to be your mate."

"Thank you Mariana. We'll deal with that issue when we get there."

"No problem Alpha."

Mariana got up to leave. Gamma David and Nicholas escorted her out. I was left with Jason and Alpha Daniel.

"Why do we have to find her Alpha?" I asked him. "Why can't I just try to find my second chance?"

"You know that second chances rarely happen. If this prophecy is true and Simone is the key to it, having her here will make us the strongest pack. Every pack would want an alliance with us. They will fear us."

"Dad do you really thing she will want to come back here and be mated after the way she was treated?  She's not going to just be willing to help us make some prophecy come true."

"Who says she'll have a choice?"

I didn't like the look on his face or the sound of his voice when he said this. Alpha Daniel cared more about strength and power than anything. He instilled these things into us growing up which is why I rejected Simone in the first place. He obviously didn't listen to everything the witch said but I did. Even if we found Simone, the prophecy would not come true. Unless I genuinely wanted her back and truly loved her, the prophecy wouldn't happen. Alpha Daniel needed to just let it go.
