Sage's POV
I've been wanting to go on a run with Simone and Beast has been begging for me to let him out but we haven't had a chance with everything that we had to do. Now we would finally get the chance. Not only would we be fulfilling a prophecy but we would also be letting our wolves have their moment. We were familiar with Silver Springs territory so we were going to take Simone to a secluded area where no one would be able to see us.
One we got outside, my brothers and I began stripping down so we could shift. I had my pants off when I turned around to see that Simone hadn't moved. She stood still staring at us. I sniffed the air and smirked.
"I can smell your arousal little mate." I walked over to her and she blushed. It amused me that she was still somewhat shy when we were naked. "Don't be nervous. We will go for a run and when our wolves are ready, we will give them their time." I kissed her lips then began helping her get undressed.
She shifted first and her wolf was beautiful. Her wolf wasn't as large as ours but she was big. You could tell that she had Alpha blood. Her coat was a light gray color while the tip of her tail and front paws were black. I shifted next then Silas and Sebastian shifted right after. All three of our wolves were pitch black. Simone’s wolf came over and swiped her tail across my face before she took off in a run. I took off after her and I could hear my brothers running after us. Her speed was incredible. Once we caught up to her, I gave control to Beast and let him have some time with her. Taking a back seat I watched how they played for a while before mating with Simone’s wolf Storm being the one to initiate it. I guess she was more forward than Simone was.
I gave Beast control and let him have his time with Simone's wolf Storm. It felt good to see him and my brother's wolves happy.
"Do you feel that bro?" Silas linked me.
"Feel what?" I asked. All of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my head then it was gone.
"What the f*ck was that?" Sebastian asked.
"I don't know but Simone doesn't look too good. She's shifting back."
Simone started telling us what her wolf was saying to her and to say that I was shocked was an understatement. She really was the girl they have been looking for. She was the solution to the Silver Springs curse.
Simone’s POV
After mating with Silas’ wolf Havoc first, I felt a strange pull in my head that I can’t describe. I mated with Sage’s wolf Beast next and I thought Storm would be exhausted afterwards but she wasn’t. She pranced right over to Sebastian’s wolf Midnight. That was when I really felt it. A sharp pain in my head before I could hear a voice that wasn’t Storm’s. The pain quickly subsided but hearing another voice startled be and I shifted back into my human form. Sensing my panic, my mates shifted also and sat on the grass beside me.
“Hello Simone,” the voice said.
“Who are you?”
“I’m your wolf of course.”
Her voice sounded soothing but I was confused. Why did I have a different wolf now?
“I’m still here Simone.”
“Storm? Storm what’s going on?”
“Just relax and listen to her,” Storm said.
“Simone what’s going on?” Silas asked. “Are you ok?”
“My wolf,” I told them. “I have another wolf.”
“What did she say?” Sage asked.
“My name is Sapphire,” my new wolf said.
“Her name is Sapphire,” I told them.
“Why do I have two wolves?” I asked her. “I never heard of anyone having two wolves.”
“You are very special my dear Simone. Though rare, there have been some cases of those having two wolves. Most of the time it’s those that are direct descendants of the Moon Goddess but you are a special case. You are to fulfill a prophecy which will end a curse put on your family. I was the wolf of the daughter of the first wolf witch couple. Unfortunately during that time, inter-species mating was frowned upon and she died way before her time. I was sent to you to help you survive and give your family back what they lost. Now that you are fully mated and marked, you and your family will be coming into power.”
“What power? I don’t feel powerful. And couldn’t I have come into these powers with just Storm?”
“Yes Storm is very powerful indeed but I was sent to you because you will need me. As for your powers; all I can tell you is that one is the ability to slow down or stop time and the other is the power of telepathy. You will come into your other powers when you need them. For now, go with your mates, they are worried about you. We will talk again later.”
I turned to look at my mates and I could see the worry on all of their faces. But that wasn’t all I saw. All three of them looked different. Somehow they looked…bigger.
“They now have a power of their own also,” Storm told me.
“I’m ok,” I told them. “Sapphire is my other wolf. She said she was sent to me because I am special and I’m going to need her. She said I have the ability to slow down or stop time and the power of telepathy. And Storm said that you each have a power of your own but she didn’t say what.”
“Wow,” Sebastian said.
Yeah this was definitely a wow moment. I don’t know what more there is to say right now.
“I think we should head back and see what’s going on at the pack house. Sapphire said that my family will come into their power also.”
We shifted and I noticed that even their wolves were bigger than they were when we came outside. They looked at eachother and I can tell that they noticed too. Not wanting to stand outside any longer, I took off running back to the packhouse knowing that they would be right behind me. After getting dressed, we walked to the backdoor and I could hear a lot of voices coming from inside.
“It worked,” Alpha Quinn said excitedly. I could see a girl around 13 years old standing beside him.
“What’s going on?” I asked
“This is my daughter Ashley,” he said. “She came running downstairs saying that something happened and we realized that it’s her power. She can make things materialize just by thinking of them.”
I watched as Ashley held out her hand and a cup of juice appeared. I was amazed. I guess Sapphire was right. My family is coming into their powers. That was fast.
“Did you get your powers?” he asked me.
“Yes but I haven’t tried using them yet,” I told him. “I think we should head back to the conference room so I can tell you all what happened. It won’t take long.”
We headed to the conference room and I told them about Sapphire and what she had told me.
“You’re going to need someone to train you,” Luna Divine said. “You aren’t familiar with magic and you have more powers that will be coming to you. Do you have any witches at your pack that would be able to help train her?” she asked my mates.
“We have two witches in our pack but they are older and stay secluded since their mates died some years ago. They don’t really like getting involved in werewolf matters but I can ask,” Silas said.
“I can help train her,” Mirabel said. “That is if I am allowed on your packlands. I know how my mother works and what spells and such she may try to use. I can help Simone learn to relax and tap into her powers when she needs them.”
“I would like that,” I told her. I looked to my mates to see what they had to say in the matter. They were having a private conversation between the three of them so I patiently waited for their answer.
“Fine, but no tricks,” Sebastian said.
“And her mother would never think to look for her there. She will be protected there as she would if she was here,” I said. Alpha Quinn nodded in confirmation. “Then it’s settled. We are leaving shortly so Mirabel you can start getting your things together to head home with us.”
While my mates were upstairs getting our things together, I used that time to get to know Ashley and talk more to Alpha Quinn. He told me stories of him growing up in the pack and of how he met his mate. It was a beautiful story and the look in his eyes as he told the story told that he loved the memory and was still in love with his mate. I hope that my mates and I still have that type of love after years of being together.
My mates walked over to us with Mirabel right behind them.
“Ready to go love?” Silas asked.
“Yes.”
I got up and headed outside with them where our car was waiting for us.
“Don’t be a stranger,” Alpha Quinn said while hugging me. “You’ve found your family now.”
“I won’t,” I told him before I hugged Luna Divine and got into the car.
Mirabel sat in the front seat while Silas drove. I sat in the backseat between Sebastian and Sage. I could feel the tension between my mates as soon as the car started moving. What was going on with them? I wanted to ask but I decided to wait until we returned home so I could speak to them in private. The car was too quiet and the tension was thick so I used the time to get to know Mirabel a little more since she would be staying with us for a while and a lot of my time would be spent with her training me. She told us the things she remembered about her dad and about her time living with her mom. I was both amazed and proud of how determined she was to remain who she was and not get deeply involved in black magic like her mother. She told us how she dreamed of one day running away from her mother and finding her own life but was afraid. Being able to help us gave her that opportunity even though she was still a little scared of what may happen.
We finally pulled up to Dark Sky territory and I was happy to be back home. Before I was fully out of the car Skyler came running to me and pulled me into a big hug.
“I missed you so much,” she said. “You have to tell me everything that happened.” I missed her too. She had been my first friend when I arrived at Dark Sky. She was more of a sister since I was mated to her brothers. "Who's that?" She asked looking behind me.
I turned to see that she was looking at Mirabel. Before I could tell her who Mirabel was, we were both pushed to the side and Mirabel was grabbed into a pair of strong arms.
"MATE," was what I heard him say. Mirabel was frozen and looked to be in shock after being grabbed.
Silas’ POV
While we were upstairs getting our things together, I was silent but Sage used this as an opportunity to let his anger of the situation out. . We weren’t supposed to head home until tomorrow but because of Sebastian’s past coming to bite us in the a*s, we have to head back home now before all hell breaks loose.
“You better fix this Sebastian,” Sage shouted. “I’m not losing my mate because of you.”
“She’s my mate too and I will fix it.” He knew he f*cked up so he couldn’t be pissed at how angry Sage was.
“You better,” Sage replied before grabbing his bag and walking out of the room.
I was pissed too but I kept it to myself. There wasn’t much we could do until we got home. I only hoped that this wouldn't cause Simone to pull herself away from us when we were making so much progress.
The tension in the car was thick and I knew Simone could feel it. Thankfully she chose not to say anything if she did. She spent her time talking to Mirabel and we learned quite a bit about her life. Hearing her story made me less skeptical of her and even made me feel sorry about the way she had to grow up.
When we pulled up to the packhouse I could already see my sister running out the front door. She never greets us like that when we go anywhere so of course I knew she was coming for Simone. It made me happy to see the way that they had bonded with one another. I smiled at their interaction when something else caught my eye. It was my Gamma. I watched him walk over to Mirabel, grab her up and say that one word he's been longing to say since we all turned 18.
"Mate," he said putting his face into Mirabel's neck.
I was happy for my friend but Mirabel looked terrified. I didn't want to interrupt his moment but I didn't want him to scare his mate any more than he already was.
"Josh," I called him. "Joshua let her go."
"MINE," he growled.
"I know but you're scaring your mate. She's not a wolf and doesn't understand what's going on right now," I told him. I watched him release his hold on her but remained by her side. "I think we should take this inside," I told everyone.
We all headed toward the packhouse when I heard the voice I've been dreading since we left Silver Springs.
"Lover where have you been? I missed you." She came running out of the packhouse and ran straight to Sebastian.
I looked at Simone and if looks could kill, Sebastian would be straight up dead right now.
