Silas' POV
"Time to go Silas," my little sister Skyler said from my bedroom door.
I looked myself over once more and headed out the door. I jumped into the awaiting truck with my brothers and sister. I am the eldest Alpha triplet of Dark Sky Pack. Together we run our pack as co Alphas. Usually in the case of multiples, only the eldest would be Alpha but my brothers and I decided that we would share the Alpha title. We were headed to one of our neighboring packs, the Halfmoon Pack for the celebration of the future Alpha's 18th birthday. He would be taking over as Alpha soon and his father the current Alpha Daniel wanted to discuss an alliance with our pack. We didn't know much about the way their pack did things so we planned to stay for a few day to check out their pack. My brother Sebastian thought it was pointless. he didn't think we should align ourselves with them. He didn't like the way they treated their lower ranked members but I wanted us to see things for ourselves. My brother Sage had no opinion about things and our little sister Skyler thought it would be a good way to see if we would be able to find our mates.
The drive there took about an hour and I began to think about the possibility of us finding our mates there. As identical triplets, my brothers and I would share a mate. At first we hated the thought of us not each having our own mate but as we grew up we realized that we would have to face that fact. At 21 years old we still have yet to find our mate. Our beta was trying to convince us to take a chosen mate but we were all in agreement that we weren't going to do that. We saw how strong the mate bond was with our parents and the love that they shared. We all agreed that was they type of love we wanted with our Luna. Skyler turned 18 three months ago and was devastated when she found out that her longtime boyfriend wasn't her mate. She was determined to find her mate.
We drove across the Halfmoon Pack's border and as we got closer to the houses, I could see a group outside of the window. It looked like some kind of altercation. We got closer and I could see a few of them run away.
"Stop the car," I shouted. I could see someone laying on the ground. I climbed out of the car and walked over to where the group of people just ran from. I was hit my the strong smell of blood and something else. Was that fresh strawberries. "MATE." My wolf Havoc roared. "Mate hurt," He whimpered.
"Don't worry, you're safe now," I told her as I lifted her off of the ground and walked her to the car. "We're not staying here. We're going back home," I growled at the driver.
"MATE." I heard both of my brother's voices. I looked up and could see that both of their eyes were black. "What happened to her?" Sebastian asked.
"I don't know but we will find out once she wakes up. Get us home as fast as you can Adam," I told our driver. She was badly beaten and unconscious but she wasn't critical. I let Skyler look her over since she sometimes worked at the pack hospital. I could see old scars on her body so I didn't want anyone at Halfmoon Pack touching her. I wanted to find out what happened and why.
The drive home was quite, everyone in deep thought. Havoc was fighting to get out but I kept my face in her neck using her scent to help calm both of us. It's said that a mate's scent can help with the healing process. We got home in less that an hour. We jumped out and immediately rushed her inside of the pack hospital.
Two hours later she was finally waking up. I wanted to stay close to her but we all took a step back. She was waking up in a new place and anyone would be afraid. We didn't know what her reaction would be.
Simone's POV
Simone it's time to go. I could hear Storm in my head. I jumped up. I didn't realize that I fell asleep. I crept out of the pack house and looked around before bolting into the woods. It was now or never.
We need to shift.
Not yet Storm. We need to get just a little further.
"Where are you going omega?"
That voice again. That irritating voice. "Get out of my way Victoria. Shouldn't you be celebrating with your mate?"
Of course she went to shove me but before she could, I quickly punched her in the face. Before I could swing again, Her friends jumped on me. I fought back as best as I could but there were too many of them. I had no training but I got the best of Victoria and her sister Lily. The other three girls had their wolves already so they were much stronger than me. I could feel hands and feet all over my body. I felt like I would black out at any minute. So much for a clean getaway. Car lights in the distance frightened the girls and they ran away in the direction of the pack house.
"Don't worry, you're safe now," I heard a deep voice say and the sweet smell of chocolate and coffee before all I saw was black.
***
The sound of beeping machines woke me from my slumber. My body was sore all over but not as bad as I expected and it was painful to open my eyes. No, no, no. I can't be at the pack hospital. Storm, Storm are you there?
"She's waking up." I heard an unfamiliar voice call out.
"Mate," Storm purred.
"No, he rejected us."
I didn't want to open my eyes. I didn't want to see his face. Why was he here?
"Open your eyes sweetheart." I could hear the most soothing voice. That wasn't Dr, Pratt. Sweetheart? My curiosity got the best of me and I opened my eyes. A woman I didn't recognize was standing beside me. "Welcome back," she said. "How do you feel?"
I opened my mouth to speak but the most amazing scents took over my senses. Storm said our mate was here but this wasn't his scent. I tried to sit up and seeing that I was having a difficult time, the woman beside me helped me sit up. When I looked over three of the most handsome men I had ever seen were standing right in front of the bed. The closer they came, the stronger the scent became. "Mates," Storm purred in my head. "What do you mean mates?" She began prancing around in my head and wouldn't answer me.
"Can you tell us your name?" The woman asked. "I'm Dr. Lily."
"Simone," I answered without taking my eyes off of the three faces staring back at me. They all looked jus alike except their hair. They must be brothers...no triplets. Storm did say mates. But why would I have three mates? It had to be some mistake. They had to be over six feet. They had beautiful blue eyes and tanned skin. I could see the definition of their muscles through their tight white button up shirts.
"I'll give you all some time alone," Dr. Lily said. "You're safe here." She patted my arm before walking out the door.
"I'm Silas," The first one said while moving closer to me. He wore his hair in a man bun. I never knew a man bun could look so sexy. His handsome face sported a goatee that looked so soft that I wanted to touch it. He smiled at me and on goddess was that smile amazing. His smile brought butterflies to my stomach. He smelled of fresh linen. It was one of my most favorite smells. I hated doing laundry but I loved the way it smelled fresh out of the dryer. It was relaxing and made me feel warm. That's what Silas smelled like; warmth.
"I'm Sebastian," said the second one. He walked closer and sat beside me on the bed. He smiled before taking my hand and kissing it. I guess he was the ore forward one of the bunch. He kept his hair lower to his head and was clean shaven. His blue eyes sparkled when he smiled at me. He smelled of the sweetest chocolate. It made me remember a time before all of the bad things happened. I closed my eyes and let his chocolate scent relax me. When I was younger my mom would always get me chocolate whenever I had a bad day or would hurt myself. Every birthday, I always had chocolate cake. She had the biggest sweet tooth and always made sure we had all types of chocolate goodies.
"I'm Sage. He stayed at the foot of the bed. I couldn't tell if he was shy or didn't want to be near me. I took in his scent and he smelled of freshly cut grass. i used to love having picnics with my parents and the smell of fresh grass always told me that it was the perfect time for a picnic. His hair was long at the top and shaved on each side. His face was also clean shaven.
It is said that a mates scent is always something that gives you comfort; something that may be your favorite small. All three of their scents gave me comfort. All of their scents made me feel a sense of comfort that I had never felt before. They gave me a sense of peace and made me feel safe. They made me feel like I did during a time before I had any worries.
"Can you tell us what happened" Sebastian asked. He still hadn't let my hand go. "We found you unconscious at Halfmoon Pack."
I tensed up at the sound of my pack's name. They all moved closer to me. I guess they could feel my fear. "They'll protect us," Storm said. They looked at me and waited for me to speak. I knew I should tell them but I was afraid. Afraid of so many things. They seemed to be accepting me now but what if things changed when they found out my story? I don't thinks I could deal with another rejection. The first one was hard enough. "We can trust them," Storm told me. "I spoke to their wolves." She spoke to their wolves? But how? We weren't in the same pack and we haven't mated. "I told you we were strong." She interrupted my thoughts.
"It's a bit of a story," I started. "I'll tell you my story and then if you want to reject me afterwards, its ok." I looked down. Storm said we could trust them but that doesn't mean they won't rejects us. How would they feel about knowing my parents were traitors. "They won't reject us," Storm said.
"Why would we reject you?" Silas asked.
"My first mate did." I looked into his eyes. Sebastian squeezed my hand tighter and growled. "He doesn't like to hear that we had another mate and neither does his wolf." I could feel Storm smiling. I put my hand on his cheek and he began to relax. I don't know what made me do it but it was just and instinct. I began to tell them about my parents and the battle that caused the Luna and beta's death. I told them about the abuse, the bullying and about being the maid. To say they were angry was an understatement. Sage couldn't stop pacing. I had to stop my story a few times because Silas growled every time I told them about the beatings I received. I tensed up each time he growled and Sebastian had to remind me that they were upset about the situation and not angry with me. When I finished my story, I looked at them waiting to see what they would say.
"We're not going to reject you," Sage spoke up first. I looked into each of their eyes and could see that they all agreed. "What your parents did was not your fault and everyone at Halfmoon was wrong for treating you the way they did. You were a child."
I felt so relieved to hear these words. I knew they were true but I had never heard anyone say it. Tears began falling from my eyes and I didn't know what to say. Could this really be happening? Was it really possible for me to have a good life? My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door.
