Chapter 21

1692 Words
Simone's POV I woke up the next morning to the packhouse full of people happily moving around.  My mates were already in their office working.  They left me to get more sleep and I have to admit I really needed it  I don't remember exactly what happened but using my power really took a lot out of me.  Thankfully I would be starting to train with Mirabel.  I smiled on my way to the kitchen as a few pack members greeted me with a smile after saying Good morning Luna.  That would definitely take some getting used to.  I walked into the dining room and was happy to see that Skyler, Jessie, Mirabel and Luna Samantha were already sitting there. "Good morning Luna," Jessie greeted me. "Good morning and please call me Simone; we're friends," I told her.  I took a seat next to Mirabel and noticed that the table was full of binders and each of them were looking through one.  "What's going on?" I asked, taking a sip from my cup that had been placed in front of me. "We're getting everything together for your Luna ceremony," Luna Samantha said. I almost choked on my drink after hearing her. My Luna ceremony?  Was I ready for this? "Don't worry sweetheart.  You're ready and you will be a great Luna.  I'm here to show you the ropes."  Luna Samantha sat beside me and showed me the book she was holding.  "All we need is your favorite color and I will do the rest." "We've been planning since you left and we planned on telling you when you returned but...." Skyler began. "We had an uninvited guest that interrupted things," Jessie finished.  Skyler looked at her and rolled her eyes.  I'm guessing that's not exactly what Skyler was going to say. "I still don't remember what happened," I told them. "Our Luna is a bad a*s.  That's what happened," Jessie said making everyone laugh. "I only wish you would've dropped her on her big head," Skyler said.  "I never liked her." "I've never been to fond of her either," Luna Samantha admitted.  "She's always been obsessed with Sebastian but she isn't Luna material. You my sweet Simone are." "We can go shopping tomorrow to pick out a dress.  The ceremony is on Friday," Skyler said.  "And Mirabel needs to do some shopping also since she is now one of us." I looked at Mirabel confused and could see her cheeks tinted pink.  "What else did I miss?" I asked. "Mirabel is Gamma Joshua's mate," Jessie said. "Oh,  Mirabel I'm so happy for you." I hugged her.  She came here to help me and ended up finding a mate of her own. "Thank you Simone.  He's wonderful," she said.  "I never thought I would be mated to a wolf but I couldn't be happier.  My mother is going to die when she finds out." "You don't have to worry about your mother," I told her.  "You're with us now.  I haven't been here long but this pack has shown me more love in the short time that I've been here than I've received my whole life.  You're safe." "And if she does find out and has a problem then Luna Simone can use her powers with the flick of a wrist," Jessie said making everyone laugh again. "Hey everyone."  We all turned to see Veronica walking into the dining room with the shortest dress I had ever seen. Veronica's POV Why was Fiona back? She would only get in the way of me being with the Alphas.  I knew she had always been in love with Sebastian but I was in love with all of them.  It would never work with her.  I'm going to be Luna just as soon as I figure out how to get rid of Simone. "She is our Luna," my wolf Shadow said. "She is NOT my Luna," I yelled at her.  "I am the Luna." "What is wrong with you?  We have our own mate out there." "My mates are right in here."  I pushed her to the back of my mind, put a fake smile on my face and walked into the packhouse.  She had been getting on my nerves a lot lately  trying to tell me that I had to respect Simone.  No, she needed to respect me.  I'm the Luna.  Walking towards the dining room I could hear laughing. I walked in and could see Simone, Skyler, Jessie, the former Luna and a girl I didn't know sitting at the table laughing and talking. "Hey everyone," I said.  Their heads turned to look at me and all of the laughing stopped.  "What's going on here?" I asked. "Oh we were just laughing about what Simone did to Fiona," Skyler said. "And I was about to tell her that there's nothing wrong with beating the as* of anyone thinking they can steal your mate," Jessie said while staring at me. "What happened with Fiona?" I asked ignoring Jessie.  I knew her comment was meant for me.. She knew I had a thing for the Alphas and always tried to tell me to leave them alone.  She just wanted them for herself but she couldn't have them. "Luna Simone had to put her in her place after she touched Alpha Sebastian," Jessie said. "I'm going to head to my room," the girl that I didn't know said. "I'll go with you," Simone said getting up to leave with her.  "I need to talk to you." "Who's that?" I asked once they walked away. "That's Mirabel.  She's Gamma Joshua's mate," Skyler said.  She stood up from the table. "I'll see you later.  I'm going to go help my mom start placing orders for the ceremony." What ceremony? Oh yeah the Luna ceremony.  Well that won't be happening.  I needed to stop the ceremony.  Maybe I should just go to her old pack and tell them I know where she is. "That would start a war.  The Alphas would never let them take her," Shadow said. "No it won't." "Are you really that stupid?" "Shut up!!" "Veronica," Jessie called me interrupting my argument with Shadow. "What ...I mean yes.  I'm sorry Shadow was bugging me." "I hope you're not back up to your old ways," she said. "What are you talking about?" I asked. "Look at the way you're dressed," she said.  "And I see the way you stare at the Alphas and the way you stare at Luna Simone when you think nobody can see.  You're jealous but you need to get over it.  They were never yours and she is our Luna."  I rolled my eyes but she kept talking.  "If you do anything stupid you'll have me to worry about."  She got up and walked away. Who does she think she is?  She thinks just because she's a warrior I'm supposed to be afraid of her.  Well I'm not and I will be Luna and then she will bow down to me.  I left the packhouse and headed home for my car.  Heading over to Simone's old pack was my best option.  I climbed in my car and began my trip to Halfmoon pack while thinking of a way to help them get Simone without starting a war. Sebastian's  POV I was beyond happy that Simone wasn't pissed at me over the situation with Fiona.  I didn't know what to expect from her since she was usually quiet.  I didn't expect her to use magic on Fiona or her wolf Sapphire to take over.  Thankfully nobody was hurt except Fiona's ankle that she landed on wrong when Sapphire dropped her. I didn't want to leave Simone's side this morning but I knew she needed the rest and we had work to do.  My brothers and I spent most of the day in our office catching up on emails and retuning calls.  We had multiple messages from Alpha Daniel from Simone's old pack.  He was persistent.  I guess we couldn't hold him off any longer. "Yes Alpha Daniel.  We've been very busy over here but we can meet you Saturday.  You are welcome to come here for us to discuss a possible alliance," I heard Silas on the phone. "That's the earliest we can see you.  Our Luna's ceremony is Friday so we're pretty busy getting ready for that," he said after pausing for a moment.  "Ok then great we'll see you Saturday." "He's a piece of work," Silas said.  "He told me to have the women work on the ceremony so the men could talk business." "I can only imagine how he runs his pack," Sage said. "We should've invited him to the ceremony," I said after thinking for a moment. "I thought about that," Silas said.  "But I don't know how he would react to seeing Simone and I don't want him to ruin the moment for her." "Yeah you're right about that.  I wouldn't want to have to kill anyone during the ceremony," I said. "What do you think Simone want to do about Halfmoon Pack?" Sage asked.  "We haven't really discussed it yet and technically the pack is rightfully hers." "That's true," Silas said.  "But I don't think she's going to want anything to do with them after everything that family has done to her.  Would you want to stay at a pack that treated you that way?" "She would be in charge," I said. "But Simone doesn't care about power.  If she did she would've already said she wanted to go take what was hers.  I think she'll tell them to keep their pack," Silas said. He was right.  Simone was the kindest and didn't care about power.  I personally would've taken over and got back at them but I know that's not my mate.  She would want to just forget about them and live her life.
