Branch walked towards Clairo as she got up and put down the lifeless body of the mortal that she had just consumed, laying there on the floor. She Wiped away the blood residue that was around her mouth from the mortal.
Branch walked next to Clairo. ‘Really you just couldn’t control the thirst for blood could you.
'You just had to kill the innocent mortal, didn’t you? Branch said with a disheartened look on his face.
‘You know who I am, a impulsive vampire who can’t control their thirst for blood. I can’t help but kill innocent mortals, it's who I am. You can’t change that; I feel happy when I suck the blood of the innocents.’ Clairo stated with the face of relief.
‘I’ve always known who you are but just seeing it in person is unsettling to me, nothing that I have ever seen before.’ He paused there for a second.
‘What are you even doing here anyway, you live in your woods which is ten miles away from here. How did you even know where I live? He said disconcerted. Exasperated.
'Also I'm pretty sure that there are a thousand other mortals near your woods that you could have killed. So why kill the mortals in my woods? Branch asked politely.
‘I’ve always known where you lived. After all, I was friends with your great great grandfather.' Clairo divulged in a quite voice that lingered upon the air.
’I wanted to come back here, to remind myself of when my life first went missing.’’ Clairo frowned slightly. Her face began to sadden.
‘When I first went missing’, Clairo stared distantly at him. Scratching her face vividly, simultaneously reflecting on her life choices she had made centuries ago.
Branch looked at her as he wandered through his thoughts, his dark green eyes looking down, as his dark brown short curly hair stood up. His manly body stood still.
Clairo was still staring slowly at him. He wondered if he would even manage to succeed in gaining Clairo's trust, if there was one thing he knew for sure it was that it would not come easy to him.
‘Yeah if we are going to work together you can’t keep killing the mortals whenever you feel like it.' He stated.
'It will be a distraction and you can't keep doing it especially at a time like this. We have ancient witches to deal with and I don't want to deal with dead mortal bodies.’ Branch was staring at her but this time with a serious look.
Discomposed that the vampire would not listen. Branch had only hoped that he would be the one to make her see some sense.
’So yeah boundaries, don’t kill any mortals for now, at least try not until this whole thing with the ancient witches has all been blown over and is done with.’ He said crucially, bending down to take his hand out to her, anticipating that she would formalize the transaction.
Clairo took his hand and stood up, speaking, while looking at his glistering, sparkling eyes in the moonlight.
‘I will make a deal with you. I will help you with the plan to destroy the ancient witches, but I can’t promise you that I won’t kill innocent mortals. It’s in my veins. Conversely, I will kill fewer innocent mortals than I do now, only if i can kill one of your werewolves, that’s my deal’. She said euphorically.
‘Fine whatever, deal’. Branch agreed with pain in his eyes.
Clairo went back to her own woods, until daylight came.
She knocked on branch's door and he invited her in as they both walked into his kitchen and sat down on the chairs in the kitchen.
They would be working together as a team to defeat the ancient witches who want to destroy and bring war to all supernatural beings that they believe are unnatural. The two tribes who were disponed in this earth. The three tribes were going to meet at last.
‘What’s the plan wolf, how are we going to defeat the witches? She inquisitioned.
She questioned whilst going up to take a cup from the cupboard to fill her coffee.
‘Oh, I’ve got a plan alright, oh they will be surprised.’ Branch smiled, filled with positivity.
‘Will we now’ the witches all said together, standing, staring directly at him from outside of his house.
Branch and Clairo both looked at each then back to looking at the witches, both puzzled and almost frozen. Believing that they would have at least a few days before the ancient witches came. The ancient witches came early. The plan had to happen today, but they both didn’t know if it would work for they were both alarmed and petrified which is a first for them considering how brave the both seemed to be.
For the first time in over three centuries Clairo was petrified. For what it seemed she was anxious at the sight of the unexpected arrival.
Over the course of Clairo's long life she has found to not take fear for granted. She has come to terms that fear can be her greatest strength and weakness in life. Power is what Clairo has aspired to be as she cannot allow herself to choose the other option. Hiding her fear is the part of her that is her ultimate weakness. It shows her humanity that she has tried for years to to find as she cannot let it in.
Clairo experienced every passing day, every pain, every death witnessed, every cry for help. However never in over three centuries has she ever witnessed her own calling of hope of a way to escape the overwhelming of petrification. What would become of her now? For the first time in over three centuries she felt different. Over three centuries she thought she was a vampire. Having no remorse just seeking out rigid violence of death and destruction but now she is something else. Something new has reached into her devilish soul but what would become of Clairo. Now that something abnormal and contrasting has been absorbed in her own body- mind.
Who is Clairo Aldaine? Is she a blood thirsting vampire or is there more to who she is as a person? Clairo wants to find her humanity but is reluctant to do so. Disoriented on what life path it would take her.
Clairo is wandering through her thoughts whilst she notices that this is not the time to think about her bewildered mind for the ancient witches are here.
The epiphany revealed itself. They want war.
The only case is if Branch and Clairo will give them what they want, war. War between the three tribes; Witches- werewolves and vampires alike.
Branch Arrow and Clairo Aldaine walked closely towards the door, anxious when they twisted the doorknob and stepped out of the door to ‘’greet the ancient witches’’ upon their new arrival.
Branch and Clairo walked closer to the ancient witches as they stepped out of the doorway.
‘It's about time you started to show yourselves’ Branch said alacrity.
‘I could say the same for you wolf boy’’ the witch said indisputably, twirling her hair in circles.
