Chapter 10

Blayne POV After seeing the torture that Lily went through I knew she was strong. Dominic showed us to the rooms we were to occupy for the night. Ashton came over to my room and asked, "So is she just a pathetic werewolf or is she actually worthy of bearing the dragon's mark?" "She's been through alot and she is strong. But before we give her the mark I want to see her train or fight for real. Get some rest brother. I have a feeling that it's going to be an early morning." Ashton nodded and left me in my room. The next day around five in the morning, I heard Lily walk out of her room. It wasn't long after that Ashton was at my door and we followed her out of the house. We kept our distance from her. I noticed that she was smart enough to cover her scent, she was able to train a little while having fun with her wolf. That was until she did a dive and landed in the middle of four wolves. It didn't take her long to kill the four wolves. She was leaning up against a tree resting, when I decided to send Ashton in to make an appearance. She couldn't react fast enough, but then she did something I didn't think I would have ever seen. She flipped Ashton on his back. She was strong enough to flip a Dragon in human form over impressive. We Dragons tend to weigh more than average beings. That's when I started to clap and walk out. "Good job Lily, you're worthy of the dragon's mark." I placed my hand on her shoulder accepting her help, giving her full access to the dragons. I wasn't expecting her to be in pain. But since she screamed and passed out after I marked her, I quickly caught her and brought her back to the pack house. Once we got back everyone was still asleep. I gently laid Lily on one of the couches in the living room and covered her up. Then Ashton and I sat on the other couch and watched TV. After about thirty minutes I started to feel the connection form between Lily and the dragons. She was just a young girl, now finally being accepted by people for who she is and not for who people wanted her to be. Then we came along and ruined that for her. I felt sad because I was feeling everything that she was feeling. It was heart wrenching to feel it. That's when we heard footsteps coming from downstairs and stopping in the living room. "Have you guys seen Lily?" Dom asked. I glanced at him and then looked back at Lily who was still out coal on the couch. Both Dom and Dem walked over to her and checked to see if she was breathing, then looked at us and asked, "What happened?" It was funny because they said it at the same time. "We followed her outside and watched her run and had fun. After we watched her for a bit, I felt like she was worthy of having the dragon's mark. So I linked her with my hoard. I wasn't expecting it to hurt her, but the pain was too much and she passed out." "We didn't have to link with the vampires or witches, why does the dragons need a link? And what's this tattoo?" Dom asked. "Dragons are like werewolves, we live in a hoard like a pack for you wolves. Wolves mindlink when they are in their wolf form, us dragons call that linking. With this war getting ready to happen, we would like to communicate with everyone. That tattoo is to show us dragons, that she is the leader and we have to listen to her." Ashton explained. "That's cool." Calvin said, walking down the stairs. "It is cool. But I need to talk to you Calvin, now that you're up." I said. Calvin nodded and said, "Follow me." We walked to his office, once we were sitting down he asked, "What do you want to discuss with me?" "It's about Lily and you. I know that you still haven't marked her yet, but I wanted you to be aware of our plans. In a couple of days Ashton and I will be taking her back with us to the dragon world. The reason for this is to train her for a week and teach her about dragons. I hate to say this, but I know that you will ask this. But you cannot come with us, because she has to keep focused on what we are teaching her. If you're going to mark her, then I suggest you do it before we leave. The reason is that once we come back it won't be long before war breaks out." "You have seen her memories, I can't force that on her right now." "I'm just saying, just think about it. But we should get heading back because she should be waking up soon." We ended up walking back to the living room right when Lily started to wake up. Lily POV My mind was racing and I couldn't think straight. I slowly sat up to find Ashton, Blayne, Dominic, Demitri, and Calvin standing around the couch watching me. Once I finished sitting up my vision became blurry. "Take your time. That mark will do this." Blayne said, but I looked at him and he wasn't moving his mouth to speak. "It's just like mindlinking, but there is more to learn. But that is another time." Ashton said. My train of thought was disrupted when Dom said, "let's eat breakfast." Everyone replied with "sounds good." "We need to talk after breakfast. Also, be careful you're going to be dizzy." Blayne said through the link. I just nodded my head and Calvin helped me up. Thankfully he did because I was dizzy when I stood up and if it wasn't for him holding me I would have fell. We made our way to the table and we all sat down. The food was already set out for us. After everyone sat down we started to eat. Calvin looked deep in thought like he was mindlinking. He came back and kissed my cheek and said, "Sorry, Lily, I wish I could spend the day with you, but Liam informed me that I need to help with training." I smiled at him and before I was able to say anything Liam butt in. "Ya we need some big help on stealth." Everyone laughed at what Liam said. I smiled thinking back to what happened when we first met. "That's alright I will just hang out with Blayne and Ashton." I said. I was covering up the fact that I felt exhausted because I didn't want Calvin to worry. "The exhausan will happen. Since you're not a full dragon and this power is new to your body. But it will pass and you should be fine tomorrow." Blayne said in the link. After we finished breakfast the guys left. I'm still trying to get used to this mindlink thing, because I never had it before. As I think of it, it's cool to be able to talk to someone when you're not close. I got up and walked to my room and sat down on my bed. Blayne and Ashton followed me. They each sat on the foot of the bed. "What did we have to talk about?" I asked. "Alright, we know that Calvin is your mate. But he hasn't marked you yet. Now we know it's because of your past." Ashton said. "The reason we need to talk about is you have to come with us in a few days and train with the dragons. Training is about a week, then you get a couple of weeks to prepare for the war. If Calvin and you don't mark each other before you leave, you will be distracted. Also having you marked will make you stronger. A plus for us is you won't have the unmated males trying to get to you." Blayne said. "So you're saying let Calvin mark me. Then I will be stronger and protected?" I asked. They both nodded yes. "Get some rest because tomorrow we will train a little. Then the next day it's a goodbye day, then the third day we leave." Blayne continued to say. I nodded and they both got up and left. I laid down and fell asleep. Calvin POV Through training I was distracted. "Hey man what's on your mind?" Liam came up to me and asked. "Well, I have been thinking about what the dragons said. They told me to mark Lily before she goes. But she's not ready for me to mark her." "Well, you can always hold off on the mating process and mark her. Then everyone would know she's been claimed as someone's mate. You would be connected and able to feel her. I also think she should join the pack too." "How did you get so smart?" I asked. "Well I am supposed to be your beta." I smiled and looked at my watch and it was four in the afternoon. "That's it for practice today. Good job men, now go home to your families and friends. See everyone here tomorrow." After I said that I went back to the pack house. I found Lily in the kitchen with Blayne and Ashton. "Hey Calvin look what I learned." Lily said, holding a cake up with a smile on her face. "Don't worry I didn't make it, I just got to cook it. They did the rest, but didn't tell Damon and Dusty." Everyone laughed at the last part. Everyone came into the living room to eat. They looked confused when Lily said that she made dessert. But everyone took a piece of the cake and ate it. I was happy that everyone loved it. After dinner everyone walked to the theater room to watch a movie. Lily pulled me upstairs to our room.
