Ivy’s POV I was trapped in a dark, rank-smelling prison cell with nothing but a small cot, a torn, thin blanket, a mouldy pillow, and a metal toilet with a tiny sink on top. There were no windows, so I couldn’t work out where I was, no way out other than the bars on the cell behind me. It felt like the walls were closing in on me. I felt claustrophobic, like they would keep coming at me until they squeezed me to death. But I couldn't worry about that. I rushed towards the bars hoping my vampire strength would be enough to bend them so I could escape, but when I gripped them, the skin on my hands started to burn.
