The place I came from

Rebecca's POV Before we move ahead with the next part of the story, it's necessary to describe the world I lived in. Clovera, the "known world" in our werewolf society, was a vast and beautiful land full of breathtaking landscapes, bustling cities, and cutting-edge technology. It was a land of contrasts, where tradition and modernity coexisted in perfect harmony. The heart of Clovera was the capital city, known as the "Jewel of the North," which sat at the center of our kingdom. The city was a marvel of modern architecture, with skyscrapers soaring into the sky and gleaming glass facades reflecting the sunlight. The streets were clean and well-maintained, and the air was filled with the sounds of people going about their daily business. In the center of the city was the palace of our king, a majestic structure of white stone that towered over the surrounding buildings. The palace was surrounded by a vast garden filled with exotic flowers and rare plants, tended by a team of expert gardeners. Beyond the city limits, the countryside of Clovera was a patchwork of rolling hills, dense forests, and shimmering lakes. The landscape was wild and untamed, with rocky outcroppings and sheer cliffs jutting up from the earth. But despite its rugged beauty, the countryside was well tended and carefully managed by a team of skilled farmers and foresters. One of the most impressive features of Clovera was its advanced technology. The kingdom was home to some of the most cutting-edge research facilities in the world, with scientists working tirelessly to develop new technologies and push the boundaries of what was possible. From renewable energy sources to advanced medical treatments, Clovera was a hub of innovation and progress. But despite all of its modernity, Clovera was also steeped in tradition and history. We, who called this land home, were proud of our heritage, and we celebrated it through elaborate festivals and ceremonies throughout the year. From the Summer Solstice Festival to the Winter Harvest Feast, we, the people of Clovera, took great joy in honoring our past and passing our traditions on to the next generation. However, beyond the borders of Clovera lay a vast wasteland that was home to dangerous rebels and other unscrupulous characters. At least, that was what we were taught. The kingdom was constantly on guard against those threats, and the king had established a powerful military force to protect us from harm. But despite those dangers, the people of Clovera remained strong and resilient, united in our determination to protect our way of life and preserve our kingdom for generations to come. This was the gist of what we hummed in our morning prayers before starting school. ***Cutting back to the present*** "Stay still!" My handsome nightmare barked as I tried to sit up while he dressed my wounds with what seemed like a paste made out of leaves. "Who are you guys? What is this place?" As I said, the pain had finally knocked some sense into me, and I asked the most important question. " Why? You haven't figured that out yet? What sort of a spy are you? Or is this your new technique? " He jeered without even looking into my eyes. " Spy? Who me? Are you kidding? I was... " Then I stopped because I was contemplating whether or not to narrate my tragic life story to the handsome hunk in front of me. "You are...?" He looked up, apparently done with my dressing, and urged me to finish what I started. "Umm, I was brought here and left behind by somebody. I got lost trying to find my way around this place. That was when those men tried to hunt me and r**e me. " I tried to be as brief as possible. "Those were my best friends." Being s*x-deprived for a long time can do that to males in the heat. Besides, they didn't even notice how bad of a catch you were. " He suddenly closed in and held both my hips with both his hands, his nose inches away from mine. I could hardly keep looking at him. His hot breath on my skin was rekindling that wild l**t in me again. "I mean, look at you. Your hips fit between my fingers so well. You lack fat and hardly have much flesh. You wouldn't even be able to fill one of our stomachs." I gulped. I didn't know if it was due to the self-proclaimed cannibalism claim that he just made or if it was due to his proximity, which was driving me insane. I took the safer option and backed off. "You're not... You're not being serious, are you? You are joking, right? I mean, you... You don't look wild or ferocious like our book said; you look... you look... " I stopped as he pulled me close again. "Yes, please continue." He insisted, "How was it that I looked again? But please do not try getting away from me again. It just might not end very well. " Even his threat fell on my ears like seductive music. I wanted to explore the end of that threat. How badly would he punish me if I misbehaved? "Ahem... Hah! Oh no. I wasn't trying to get away," I said, clearing my throat in a desperate attempt to clear my head. "Besides, I don't think I have somewhere I would like to go to. And this looks like a nice and cozy place." I wasn't exaggerating. Even in that darkness, in the light of the fire that burned, I could see that we were surrounded by numerous coconut trees, which swayed in the romantic wind that swept towards the land from the sea. It was right outside of those picture calendars that they gave you to keep on your table. Just then, one of those men who had tried molesting me came running towards us with something in his hand.
