Mia's POV
Liam and I had been together for two months, we started dating a week after I turned seventeen. My parents liked him but Michael didn't approve of our relationship. Not like I needed his approval anyway.
We walked into a house party hosted by some guy I don't know. I looked around slowly for my brother and asked Liam to help.
"Your brother's over there." He pointed to the left side, holding my hand to lead the way.
I smiled when I spotted Dylan close to my brother; I was wearing a short pleated skirt and an off-shoulder crop top just for him.
My smile faded when we got closer and I saw a girl rush over to him. I wasn't surprised, though; girls are drawn to him like moths to a flame, and he never misses the opportunity to mess around with every one of them. I wished he'd mess around with me too.
At a point, I thought my crush on Dylan would fade as I grew older, but that didn't happen. Instead, it became stronger...something more. I wasn't sure it was what I thought it was, but I didn't want to know; I just wanted him so bad it hurt.
I never cared about dating guys or trying to like them, but I needed to try other ways to get his attention; I hoped seeing me with Liam would make him notice and want me.
It wasn't fair that he wanted every other girl except me. I was supposed to be his favourite girl yet he doesn't even look at me much anymore. I was a young, curvy woman and I was determined to get Dylan to see me as that instead of his best friend's sister.
It's been harder to get his attention since he and my brother moved to an apartment together; I barely saw him and even the few times I did, he seemed to avoid me, and I couldn't understand why. Well, maybe I was just overthinking things.
Liam and I got to where they were and Dylan didn't even bother to look at me.
"Don't you have assignments to do or something kid?" Michael asked mockingly. "I can't believe you actually came here and you came with this bum too." He laughed.
"Haha, very funny" I laughed sarcastically and rolled my eyes.
"By the way, does mum know you wore a skirt so short your ass cheeks are popping out?"
"Michael!" I shouted and hit him hard in the chest. I hoped what Michael said would get Dylan's attention, but when I glanced at him, he was too busy talking to that pimp who was in his lap now.
"What? Just don't go bending down anywhere before a random d**k f***s your ass up. I'm just looking out for you, lil sis." He ruffled my hair.
"Yeah, whatever." I sighed and moved away from him. "Come over here with me, Liam," I said, moving over to where Dylan sat.
For the next thirty minutes, I did my best to make Dylan jealous, but he didn't act like I was there at all. At this point, I didn't know what else to try to get his attention. I tried makeup, skimpy clothes, dancing like a stripper in heels, I even managed to join the cheerleading team at school because I heard he liked cheerleaders. But none of the things worked, which was why I decided to finally accept one out of the seven guys that had been asking me out. Now it was all for nothing.
"You seem a bit tense, Mia; let's go over there and get some alcohol to loosen up a bit," Liam said with a smile.
I wasn't a fan of alcohol but at that moment, I really wanted to clear my mind and loosen up. "Okay then, let's do it." I went over to Michael first to tell him where we were headed, and he called out to stop me, but I didn't listen.
We made our way to the table of drinks slowly because there were a lot of people in our way. I took a bottle and opened it the second I got there; the alcohol burned my tongue and throat in a way I liked, so I just kept drinking away.
The bottle was almost empty when Liam grabbed it out of my hand laughing. "Whoa, slow down my princess. I think that's enough alcohol for you."
I laughed too, enjoying the look he gave me and the sound of his voice. I needed to enjoy myself, I didn't want to think about Dylan and the fact he's been ignoring me.
I felt light and free, swaying my hips to the music playing. I moved closer to Liam, grinding my body into his slowly and I could feel him get hard when I grinned my ass on his d**k area.
He turned me around, looking at me with lust-filled, mischievous eyes. "I know I've said this a lot but I just have to say it again. You're so f*****g sexy, my princess."
I wished Dylan would think I was sexy, too. I shook my head to stop other thoughts of him from invading my mind again. "Let's go outside, Liam; it's getting too hot for me in here."
We continued flirting and dancing when we moved outside. Soon, his hands moved around my waist, bringing me so close to him that our faces were inches apart. I gasped as he grabbed my ass and squeezed them softly. "So soft, Mia. You're so soft." he rasped.
I wouldn't deny the fact I liked the way his hands felt, but I was saving myself for Dylan, so I felt guilty for enjoying another guy's hands on my body. f**k it. I was going to have the night of my life with or without Dylan.
I smiled and closed my eyes to really get in the mood before turning around to grind into him again, but suddenly I felt a really muscular arm grab me around my waist, tugging me back into his hard chest.
At first, I panicked, thinking I was my brother, but my brother wouldn't pull me this way; he'd fling me to the side and punch the daylights out of Liam.
"Who the f**k is this?" I tried my best to free myself of his grip but it was pointless. "Let me go, you asshole!"
"Behave yourself, Mia. There's no way I'm letting you go," he said angrily, and I gasped as I instantly recognised his voice. It was Dylan.
