She was in the middle of picking up her things when the door knocked. After saying 'come in', one of her employees showed up, carrying a bouquet of red roses. "Ms. Ezye, it was said this is for you." her employee left after handling the flowers. 'I hope I can see you soon, Ez. It's been a long time since I saw you. I bet you are getting more beautiful than before, waiting forward to meeting you sooner. ' - pette. Her face was confused upon reading the name of the signature. There was only one person who called her Ez, no other than Pette Richards- her childhood neighbor's friend, along with her cousin - Ava. The three of them were inspirable before. They dreamed together and promised they would get each other's back. Their friendship started to part when Ava and her parents migrated to the UK. Since then, only her and Pette have left, but Pette's parents divorced and he was taken by his dad to Greece. Ezye was sad upon hearing the news and she swore she would never see them again. She was startled when her phone rang. Ginrre's name appeared on the screen. Throwing the flowers in the trash can, she turned off her phone. She's not in the mood to talk to anyone. Her mood was ruined by remembering her friends who had just showed up after 13 years. It was 1 pm when she glanced at her wrist watch. She did not eat lunch as she was busy catching up on some paperwork at her shop. She woke up yesterday at Ginrre's residence. He messaged her about the foods he cooked before he left. It was 4 in the afternoon when she left his place. Afterwards, she did not get any messages or calls from him. Grabbing her pouch, she headed outside and called for a taxi. She needs to refresh her mind in order for her to focus. Gin has been running through her mind this past week. She made her way to Blu Plate Inn where she would eat her late lunch. " Good afternoon, ma'am. Welcome to Blu Plate Inn." the guard greeted her upon entering the entrance. She nodded at him and directed to a spot near to the wall. The place was quiet, although there were plenty of customers. They ate and chatted elegantly, without disturbing others. " Avocado Egg Salad and Strawberry smoothie please," she ordered after reading the menu. "Right away, ma'am. Please wait for a moment." The waiter bowed his head and headed to the counter. The place helps her settle down for a minute, quiet and elegant but not so expensive too. That's why it always has customers. It suits people who want to relax and settle some things for themselves. After 25 minutes, her orders arrived and she started eating. On the other hand, Gin was furious when she did not answer her phone. Instead, it was out of coverage. He was just done talking to Mr. Guzman about their partnership on the new project. He has been busy catching up on meetings since yesterday. Grabbing his key, he headed to the elevator and pressed the 1st floor, his fist clenched upon remembering the text messages he deleted on Ezye's phone yesterday. "Good afternoon, Mr. Clarckstone." every employee who sees him is greeted. He directed to the parking lot and drove his car to Ezye's shop. The sun's light hit his unscathed face when he opened the windows. He needs to cool down, he doesn't want her to be afraid of him. Ten minutes of driving and he had arrived. After parking his car, he headed inside and was greeted by Ezye's waitress. "Where's Ezye?" he asked impatiently. He scanned the whole place but couldn't find her. "Ms. Ezye left earlier, sir. She isn't back still." the waitress answered, unable to look at him. His eyes were raging on fire when he heard it. A lot of images of Ezye were laughing with another man floating around in his head. "Where'd she go?" coldy he uttered. His temperament boiled up for a reason she avoided him. "I.. don't have any idea, sir. Ms. Ezye did not tell us where she was headed." the waitress let out a deep sigh when Ginrre left, uttering no words. "Is he that scary really?" one of her co-workers talked next to her. They were nervous of their boss suitor, who was Ginrre. "Yeah. Looks like he will eat someone alive. I wonder how Ms. Ezye handled him. She was fragile and kind. I felt bad for our boss. He might just hurt her in the future." the waitress poorly uttered. Gin called his secretary to locate where Ezye was. He drove fast when Mr. Edgeman informed him that she was at the Blu Plate Inn. Ezye was done paying her order when an unfamiliar scent filled her nostrils and a pair of hands grabbed her for a hug. "God, Zy. I never expected to meet you here. You didn't message me back. How are you? You have become more gorgeous than before." Her forehead formed in three lines when she heard the familiar voice. "Jarred?" she was surprised upon seeing him. They were classmates before in 2nd year college, she studied culinary arts in Paris after graduating from high school. There she met him, he treated her like his own sister and Jarred's levity was her favorite with him. "Aw. I thought you had forgotten about me already. I messaged you yesterday but I didn't get any reply," he dramatically uttered. "Message? I did not see your message yesterday." She was confused since she checked her phone before she left and found nothing. 'Could it be him?' she thought of Gin deleting the message. "Forgot about it, little sis. Most important is you're here now. There's a lot of things to catch up with you." he smiled and patted his head. "You're just 3 years older than me. Why still keep teasing me that" Ezye laughed and remembered how stupid Jarred were before. "You were tiny and a crybaby before. Although you have changed a lot now , I still treat you like my sister. Come with me. I need to buy some stuff for my nephew. I have a lot of questions about you on the way. " He added and put his hands on her shoulders. They look like a happy couple the way they bond, but for them it's only a sister and brother relationship. "Fine. I wanna meet your nephew and sister too. But you need to treat me to a lot of food later.`` She answered and headed together to Jarred's car. Jarred opened the door for her before he got inside. He started the engine and left the place. Ezye saw a familiar car in the rearview mirror parking in Blu Plate Inn. 'Gin?' she uttered when she saw a familiar person who got out of the car. She scolded herself for the thought. She said earlier she would stop thinking about him. He has been running in her mind a lot when she can't focus on her work. She needs to relax and stay away from him, her instinct keeps telling her that.
