See what excuse he can come up with for why you were holding it when Shorty found you.” “Yeah.” Mick frowned in thought. “If I tell him I was attacked, it’ll put him on the defensive.” “He already is,” Richard said. “He seemed to buy your story about being sick, but we all saw his reaction when he first saw you this afternoon.” “I know, but I’d still like to come up with another story to explain why I have the license,” Mick replied. “Before you think I’m crazy, consider this. How the hell would I have gotten my hands on it when he attacked me, if it was him?” “You have your doubts?”
