Lucy POV
It was a new day in the Human world, and also my main first day there. I stood up from the bed which I laid on over the night, feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to start the new day— new life.
The mattress was indeed comfortable, and I had slept like a baby. As I walked downstairs, the nice smell of food started to hit my nose, making my stomach growl with hunger.
"How was your night?" Daniel's thick, manly voice asked quickly as I turned around to confirm his presence.
I smiled, feeling a flutter form in my chest at the sound of his voice.
"Oh, it was nice and the mattress was so comfortable," I said, trying to sound casual despite the fact that I was still feeling a little shy around him.
